So…Decided to go to Cheshire Place on a Monday when lots of restaurants are closed. I have been craving a tuna melt and fries like I loved in college. I ordered a melt and fries with a glass of unsweetened ice tea. How surprised was I when my bill was $18.20. Yep. If this was the best tuna melt and fries ever I never would fork over that amount. Never again.

I went there today for the first time. We we told we can sit anywhere. The people the come in right after us got menus and ordered drinks. Nothing for us. The next group that came in 2 minutes later, same thing, the waitress looked at us and continued her duties. Apparently they didn’t need our money today!

I’m trying support local business. The food is fine. Portions are right. Prices are fair. However, service is weak at best. Not nasty or anything like that, but lacking a sense of efficiency and accuracy. And, absolutely the bare minimum checking in on guests to make sure everything is correct or to refill coffee.
Regarding opening hours, they can’t get their door open on time. Frustrating when one drives to their location and it’s not open 15-20 minutes after schedule opening time. This happened 3 times in the past four weeks to me. So can only image how many other times this happen.
Lastly, I’m probably asking way too much because of above, so maybe asking to open at 6:30am, like Paul’s or 6am, like Grace’s maybe a reach. They are loosing sales and tips.
They have potential, but someone needs to take on a leadership role.

After church went with a friend who recommended. Delightful small atmosphere. Sun out, warm, doors were open with a warm breeze made the atmosphere even better. Waitress was friendly, prompt and patience, despite how long it took myself and friend to order due to our constant talking. The California Omlette was Great. Breakfast for me and my friend under 25.00.
