It was better than I expected! The drinks arrive a little slowly but they’re tasty and strong, and so does food arrive a little slowly but when it does arrived it’s really not bad. The fried calamari was way too greasy for me but I did like my grilled chicken salat a lot, and it doesn’t happen very often in Knoxville. It’s not a place I’d go for when I go out to eat, but compared to other places in town it’s a great quality for the money you pay!

Where do I Begin! This is definitely a five stars establishment. From the appearance that is classy but also cozy to the mouth watering, delicious food! First time here and won’t be the last! The waiter was so polite and friendly. The food smelled and tasted so fresh! I don’t know what was better the butterfly shrimp or the clam strips, and don’t get me started on the amazing KEY LIME PIE!

Chesapeake’s is my family’s favorite seafood restaurant in the greater Knoxville area- it’s where we go to celebrate special occasions. We treated our mothers to a wonderful dinner this weekend and service plus food was stellar as always. We had a larger size party at our table and the appetizers and main entrees were presented timely and accurately. The oyster selection is always top notch as are the bar drinks- try the ultimate margarita sometime. It’s delicious and made with quality ingredients. You really cannot go wrong with any of the entrees however I love their seafood platters and scallops.

This was such an amazing restaurant. The food was fantastic, service was impeccable, hostess was very helpful getting my dog a water bowl. The patio was cool on a hot day with the fans and it’s shaded.

I ordered 4 grilled oysters. Delicious, but one was just an empty shell with cheese. Waitress said that was unusual and did not offer another oyster or to take it off my bill. Clam chowder was excellent. House salad was excellent. Service was underwhelming.

We finally got to try Chesapeake’s, and we will definitely be back! One thing I would definitely do in the future is make a reservation, but the hour wait was still worth it to us. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the swordfish was delicious as well. Our waiter was fantastic and personable as well. It was an overall great experience.

There are some really good things to say about the times we have been to this location but there are also some misses. This latest visit was the best service we have had. We sat at the bar. Heather and another girl (I hate I didn’t get her name) were amazing. They were prompt, friendly and attentive. The two times we sat in the dining room the service was mediocre. The 5th star in the service category was earned on our recent visit. The seafood has been top notch each visit. The issue is when you order something other than seafood. One visit my husband ordered steak and it was well done vs the medium rare that was ordered. He ate it without saying anything. This last visit he ordered a medium burger and it came out charred. He only ate half because of it. To their credit, the girl at the bar noticed and notified the manager. The offer was made to make a new burger but he declined because we were almost through eating. Since he declined, they removed the charge from our check. That was appreciated. The Maryland seafood salad is fantastic with good portion sizes of the seafood. The fried shrimp is also delicious. We haven’t tried a lot on the menu because it is rather pricey. On another visit, I tried the bisque. It is delicious! We had the calamari appetizer and we are glad we did. I was so excited to start eating it that I didn’t take a picture. I do recommend you order it. On a precious visit, a friend and I split the seafood platter. It was great but you better be hungry. It is a lot of food!

Restaurant was clean and had great ambiance. Wait staff was a little quirky and it took quite a bit of time (26 minutes) for the oysters to hit our table. Our waiter also took 2 of our orders and then ran off before taking the 3rd order at the table. The fresh oysters on the half shell were absolutely 5-star. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict with the cheesy bacon grits. While everything tasted okay, the crab cakes weren’t really crabcakes. More like a pile of lump crab meat (not a horrible thing) but it was cool in the middle and lacked seasoning. The hollandaise was good, and wasn’t greasy and didn’t break. The grits were gloopy and heavy and I would not order them again. I would definitely come back for more oysters, and possibly to try something else. Oysters were what definitely pushed my review from 3 stars to 4 stars.
