I’ve been eating here since I was a teenager. It’s better now than ever. It’s always been a great place to celebrate with friends and family with the best food offerings. A large or small group you will have the best service. Make sure you try the Crab Cakes. They are delicious!

Our department was in town for business and decided to do a group dinner. The restaurant ambiance was as shown in the review pictures and the service was amiable. The food was ok, it did not wow my pallets or my coworkers. Their drinks were very good which everyone enjoyed (cocktails and bourbon). Fun night with the team seeing we were there over 2hours…

This was our first time visiting this restaurant…. Oh my gosh this place did NOT disappoint!! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is so inviting. The host was very friendly and just made us feel at home. We were a little early so we went to the bar had a drink and even appetizer of crab stuffed mushrooms (phenomenal). We were seated at our table- Jack was an incredible host! We had oysters Rockefeller, grilled oysters then shared the surf n turf- the most tender filet mignon, scallops and shrimp. We even got a complimentary dessert (which is the only picture i remembered to take) Just a beautiful setting and food is top notch!! Would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be visiting this place again next time we are in the Knoxville area.

We were greeted by Brooke, who was so kind and welcoming. She took the time to show my 5 year old son the MANY fish tanks, along with the lobster tank. She even took one out to show him up close!
McKenzie was our server, and she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She explained in depth the options for fresh oysters, the specials of the day, as well as her top picks for appetizers and entrees. We had an incredible time! We enjoyed the cold seafood platter, the filet and lobster, fried fish, Chesapeake shrimp and crab, AND the spicy spinach Mac and cheese. Incredible food! Incredible service! Incredible staff!

Thank you!!

Eating here reminds me of a great seafood restaurant you would find on the east coast, thankfully right here in Knoxville. Their crab cakes are the best I’ve ever had. I always tell people they are actually all crab , Not a lot of onion and Not a lot of breadcrumbs ! I enjoy the shrimp cocktail with house made cocktail sauce. I have tried most of their dishes and have not been disappointed. And we loved that when we ordered a whole lobster there was a waiter that came out and cracked the whole lobster for you. My grandson also enjoyed it because the waiter was also very informative about lobsters while he was cracking it.

What an amazing atmosphere. The food was incredible. Josh was our server and he did an amazing job taking care of us and helping us enjoy our evening. Josh even took the time to go over the menu and especially those few items we did not understand and we ordered those two items at his recommendation after he explained them! Josh really led this experience.

Absolutely amazing experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional.Nina greeted us with the warmest welcome, Brent helped us one day and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout our meal, on another day Babs went above and beyond with her recommendations — every dish she suggested was spot-on!

The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and came out quickly. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, and you can tell the team truly cares about creating a memorable experience.

Huge thanks to Babs, Brent, and Nina for making our visit unforgettable. Highly recommend this place — we’ll definitely be back! ️✨

Everyone was saying “You have to go to Chesapeake’s when you in Knoxville.” They were correct! I am not a seafood lover. I was with friends that were going, I’m adventurous and will try different foods. The wait staff were very nice and seated us quickly. The appetizers were good we got the Seafood platter. The fried Calamari was the best I’ve ever had. It was crispy and light. I tried oysters for the first time and didn’t like it at all but I’m glad I tried the dish in a great seafood restaurant. I know I don’t like them because I don’t enjoy the taste and not because the restaurant ruined the dish. I ordered the Crab cake meal with a side of Spicy Spinach Mac and Cheese. The Crab Cakes were delicious and meaty. The Mac & Cheese was delicious! I also had a side of Bacon Grits. I didn’t like this dish at all. I grew up eating grits so I didn’t expect not to like this dish. It had the smokey bacon flavor I was expecting but it also had garlic. I didn’t know what it was and had a friend try it and he told me that’s what it was, I won’t recommend it. I also has an Old Fashion from the bar. I’ve never had one and it was very good. I do recommend Chesapeake’s if you’re in the Knoxville Tennessee area

Very nice restaurant. I was here on business so I was solo, but it would be a great date place. The food was amazing…I had the Oysters Rockefeller which were the best I ever had…granted I’m relatively new to oysters…not a connoisseur. Also, I had the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and it was great.
