The place was a hidden gems . Everything was 10/10 stars. Its definitely a date spot! We got lumpia, spring rolls, and gyoza for the appetizers! 10/10, I would recommend these appetizers to anyone who comes here. The spicy garlic salmon and the ahi tuna poke bowls were also good! All the poke bowls are large portions. Also, we tried the paratha with chicken & potato curry and it was amazing! Especially the paratha, we ordered some to go. The parking can be difficult at night as many establishments are next to it. It also didn’t have the sign, so you’ll have to look closely if you want to find the cafe. They have many drinks, but we just had thai tea, it was pretty good. They also have a breakfast menu if you wanted to go during those hours. We’d love to try the breakfast menu when we come back!

First time here and everything was outstandingly delicious. We had street noodles, tea leaf salad and paratha potato curry. All vegetarian but if you’re a meat eater they will add your proteins. Super friendly. The owner explained about each order and how the Burmese food is influenced by China, India, and Thailand. We’ll definitely be back Sorry about the picture. We ate it too fast

This is a super cute restaurant, and the guy who’s running it is so sweet. I wanted to love it, but the food was just OK. We only ordered two things the fried rice, which was good and the chicken curry, which was kind of meh. I will try it again one more time and hope I just picked a bad day or we didn’t pick the right things.

We gave this restaurant a shot since I haven’t found a good Burmese restaurant in Carlsbad. The ambiance was nice. The chef/server was very nice. The food was ok. For people who haven’t tasted Burmese food, this is a pretty good representation of what it should be. I have just had much better food in other places.
We were the only people in the restaurant. We were told that they were planning to close soon but at least 3 parties walked in about 15-20 mins after us and they were there for much longer than what the chef had initially said regarding the closing time.
The menu is limited but has the basics. There is no alcohol. We ordered the tea leaf salad, street noodles with chicken and Burmese curry with paratha. The tea leaf salad was more like Indian bhel. It was ok. I have had much better salads in other restaurants. It also had fish sauce in it which we were not aware of, and my poor friend ended up having an upset stomach (she is allergic to seafood). That was disappointing because I had specified that we don’t want seafood in the street noodles, so I would have liked to be told about the fish sauce. We were asked how spicy the salad should be. We chose 6. It was not spicy.
The street noodles were good. The normally come with shrimp and I asked for a replacement. I was told it would come with chicken, so I expected chicken pieces. Instead, we got a grilled chicken leg, which was a little difficult to eat. It didn’t really go with the noodles because it wasn’t tossed in the same sauce. I should’ve just ordered the noodles without the meat component.
There are two items on the menu – potato curry with paratha and Burmese curry with rice. When asked about the difference, we were told it is the same thing, just a difference in the side. That makes no sense! Then why name it differently? The curry was good – had a homemade feel to it, nice blend of spices and a good portion. The naan was ok..I would have liked it to be thicker and softer.
All in all, there are elements of the food which have promise. If you have never tried Burmese food, this is a good option. But the food isn’t as good as my previous experiences. Pricing wise, it is Carlsbad pricing. So, I think we paid a little more than I would have liked, for the food.

Golden Coconut Khao Sol and the Burmese Fried Rice with Shrimp, I love Asian and I have been enjoying it since my dad introduced it to me. This nice small spot just made my top of my list, food!!!! Service!!!!! Atmosphere prefect.

I wanted to like this restaurant. Came here after reading good reviews. First the good thing: there was not enough space inside the restaurant, so I was offered an outside seat. However, it was getting chilly so I wanted to come back another day (I would have), but the server was very accommodating and he dragged a table and a chair from the patio and out then inside just for me. I was reading about this ‘tea leaf salad.’ Although I had Burmese food a few times before, never tried this one. So I ordered one of that with chicken and a Spicy Ahi hand roll. The service was quite slow but the tables were full so I waited patiently m. The salad and the hand roll arrived. It’s pretty tough to eat hand rolls without chopsticks. It was just ok! However, It was my fault! Should not have ordered it in a Burmese restaurant. Now comes the iconic salad. It was similar to crunchy salad mix that you get at Traders Joe’s. Lots of cabbage, some peanuts, dried and fried lentils. No bold flavor, no spice! There were some fermented tea leaves – probably hidden! Also, there was no chicken! Overall pretty ordinary food but maybe I ordered all the wrong items! However, I am not gonna try again! There were too many Caucasian customers and not many Asians- likely it’s serving the clientele.

Sooo good. The apples in the poke was a nice treat. I never had khoa soi before but it’s a new favorite. The service was my favorite part, nice to meet people who cared about their customers. The decore is beauridul and my daughter even got to pick which tea cup she wanted. So pretty.

My sister and I stumbled upon this gem while looking for a new place to grab lunch. We were greeted at a table advertising the menu on an outdoor patio alongside a pitcher of a complimentary beverage. We ordered two dishes to share. We were intrigued by the tea leaf salad, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the paratha with chicken and potato curry; so delicious! The complimentary beverage was a lovely concoction that I didn’t catch the name of. (Perhaps the passionfruit tea) The gentleman serving us was friendly and attentive. He gave the same attention and care to each of the other patrons that dined during our visit. He also invited us to try the order ahead option for next time. This place is a new favorite! I definitely recommend giving the unique flavors of Burmese cuisine a try.

The food is worth the money I spent here and it is filling. The Lumpia is exceptionally delicious. Cherry Blossom also has a felecious dragon fruit type of juice outside to sample. Inside i was shown a cucumber water to cool me down and surprisingly their cucumber water was refreshing the temperature was not cold or warm, it was perfect.
The gentleman working and cooking were welcoming and pleasant to speak with when I mentioned I’ve never eaten this ethnic food before. All of them shared genuine sm8kes as the say hello.
The atmosphere was relaxing causing a pleasant content feeling within me. From an outsider point of view I will state that this location would be a perfect one to take a person of interest to. The music fit very well here.
