The old Plainview Diner was transformed into a beautiful Asian Fusion restaurant. I ordered shrimp Pad Thai and my husband ordered shrimp Udon. Mine came and I realized it had an ingredient I am allergic to. They offered to change it but y husband and I switched entrees. Fiid and service were excellent. The restaurant is comfortable and beautiful. We will definitely be returning!

Tonight we came to Cherry Amber for dinner. We were greeted by Kumar. And he was so kind and welcomed us. We had the best dinner there. Started with delicious soup, Kani salad, a yummy Thai Casserole, and sushi. Everything was so amazing and the sushi was so fresh!! We are going to go back this week with our grown kids who love Sushi and Japanese cuisine!! We are so happy they opened here in Plainview. Everyone should go there!!

Brand new restaurant in Plainview. We went around 5pm on a Friday and got seated right away. Shortly afterwards there was a wait, (which I see as a good sign). Our waiter was professional, attentive and friendly. The manager, is a great guy who greets everyone and ensures all customers are happy with the food and service. Restaurant is modern, yet homely and very clean. There is a good variety of food items and something to please everyone. Sashimi was fresh and melts in your mouth. Crispy rice with salmon (appetizer) was the best we have had in a while. Sambal Samba was cooked to perfection and had good flavors. The presentation of all food was incredible and everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend the Coconut gelato dessert to end your meal. Great to share for 2 people. They don’t have a liquor license yet, so no bar/drinks. Other than that, great experience. Will be back for sure. Wishing them much success to thrive in this neighborhood for years to come.

Enjoyed our dinner at Chery Amber. The service was great; friendly, fast, and accommodating. The food tasted great. Many of the items on the bill were $1 more than what it showed in the menu. They should update the menu to reflect the actual prices. Other than that, it was great.

Cherry Amber knew what it was doing opening in Plainview. We tried going last night and the line was giving “this place is worth it,” so our party of three pulled up again today — and WOW. Zero notes. Food? 10/10. Ambience? 10/10. Staff? 11/10.
We ordered everything from sushi, ribs, General Tso, kani salad to even a rainbow cookie cake, and every single bite slapped. The chef is absolutely in their bag.
Bonus points: the staff was so sweet to my 6-month-old, and the whole experience was seamless — easy parking, quick seating, fast food delivery. The decor is super chic, the vibes are immaculate, and the bar area is stunning.
Consider us officially obsessed.
P.S. Ignore the half-eaten pics — mom life means the food disappears way before the camera comes out.

This place was amazing all around – the ingredients used in the sushi were fresh and the steak so tender! The staff were wonderful and very patient with their service and recommendations. Overall 10/10 experience, definitely recommend to any sushi lover!

I tried this place TWICE once with take out which came out cold and soggy then today. I thought maybe just maybe takeout isn’t their thing.
For a “new” restaurant a lot isn’t their thing including telling you the truth. I originally went for happy hour, but they still don’t have a liquor license, okay fine things happen so I did pre-fix “corce” and not only do you get pressured to choose your options(the place wasn’t packed) but just know you get a complimentary DRINK single, not plural. Normally I would pay for refills and not care, but the service was not good.
The only two good things were the sesame chicken although expect more chicken and a scoop of rice.
The sushi was the best part so maybe that’s their specialty because the salad was more sal than ad.
I was going to buy takeout for home and saw the prices have new prices but I was just here? Overall this was an advertisement sent in the mail and disappointed enough to go elsewhere unless I’m in the mood for $8+ rolls

Just finished a wonderful meal at Cherry Amber. The ambience is very pleasant with warm decor after a needed facelift from the former Plainview diner. Service was good and our server Jerry was attentive. We started with appetizers of honey boneless ribs which were tasty and quite moist. The steamed shrimp dumplings were just slightly above average. For main dishes we shared Hibachi chicken and Chilean sea bass. This chicken was delicious as were the accompanying vegetables and the portion was a nice size. While the Chilean sea bass was excellent the portion size was tiny and this was our only real disappointment in an otherwise delicious meal and wonderful experience. We will be back!
