Had such a great meal at Chercher Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic, every bite was amazing. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely one of the best spots in town for Ethiopian food. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a delicious meal at CherCher! Super hearty and flavorful. I’d definitely recommend stopping in if you’re looking for a nice warm meal. Their ginger tea paired so nicely with the sampler plate.

The food is AMAZING. If you eat meat. I ordered a chicken dish—the meat was so tender. The spice is more than just heat—it’s pure flavor. I ordered the chicken dish with a boiled egg, and the curry has just an unbelievable aroma to it. Love the texture of the injera (the spongy bread). The reason I rated it four is because I did feel like the vegan options fell a little short. There was ten sides offered in the vegan platter, but I felt that they were significantly less flavorful than the chicken dish. Overall, would 100% recommend if you’re looking to eat meat.

My family and I come here on a regular basis and the food never disappoints, we absolutely love this place! The vegan options are amazing, we always get the vegan delight delux, and the meat options are also great (my boyfriend loves them).

I came with my family of three early for dinner, at around 4pm. It was not busy at that time. We had beef tibs, chicken tibs, and another dish. The food came quickly and was presented beautifully. It was delicious, and we also enjoyed the tray of sauces to use. Our server was very friendly and told us a bit of Ethiopian history. The dining room is nicely decorated and the lighting is pleasant. We were delighted with our experience at Chercher.

I was there last night, grabbing food after church. As I was waiting for my takeout order I had the pleasure of meeting a relative of the restaurant owner, her name was Azeb. Azeb is the most insightful and intellectual Ethiopian woman I’ve ever came across. Almost forgot I was grabbing food because of the engagement. May God continue to bless her and her family

I’ve had the opportunity to eat at the CherCher 9th St location, so My expectations were very high. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. The decorations are filled with fine art. The music has set the ambiance perfectly. I ordered the #LambTibs with #Injera. They were seasoned so well. The waiter was very nice and helpful. My Food came out quick and was hot. The bathroom was clean. I really smiled my experience.

Small cute little restaurant in Bethesda. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I really liked it. I have no other references to compare the food with, but I can tell you that it was very delicious. I love the Ethiopian style tomato salad, it had the right amount of spices and sourness. We tried a veggie platter combination and their tibs platter. They served the food with injera bread which is an interesting concept. Definitely give this place a try!

I went here one time during my trip to DC with a group of 5. We made a reservation in advance. First time trying Ethiopian cuisine and it was a nice first experience ☺️ The food was good and the atmosphere feels like a cozy family dine-in. Affordable price!!

I wanted to preface this by saying my only exposure to Ethiopian food is Dukem in Baltimore. The difference between the two come down to quality, flavor, atmosphere and portion size; I was shocked to not be smacked in the face by sheer hot spice like I get at Dukem and, instead, could enjoy and savor every single one of the ten sides in the vegan platter. The injera was equally as delicious as it was light, serving as the perfect vessel for the sides. My partner did mention that the fish he got was a tad overcooked and tough but still delicious, so not enough to warrant taking off a star. The avocado salad was also fresh, delicious and comes with a super tasty home made dressing. Highly recommend. Needless to say I hope to come back for that vegan platter again in the near future. Thank you for such a good time, CherCher!

Also, our waitress was super sweet and really helped to make the experience that much more enjoyable.
