Love the pork & cheese pupusas and pork tamales here! Their curtido is also delicious. Would highly recommend this place. I get full from 2 pupusas- they’re filling. Friendly staff as well.

Definitely worth a try! The pupusas they make are so fresh and authentic. The pickled veggies add the perfect crunch and spicy edge to each bite. The sides are bomb too! Definitely worth going to many, many times

Pupusas were really good, but way to overprized. Specially because their service was horrendous. The place was colder than outside. It was not even 10 pm yet, We were halfway our food and the cashier started sweeping the carpet near our table with such a force that, we had to stopped eating. Dirt and dust on our food 🙁 . Asked for box, the woman did not even give us a bag, and we left with no desire to come back.

Always want to support small businesses but Don Chepe will not get my business ever again. I’ve been going here for years and the service has gone far below the point of no return. Snobby, unpleasant interaction (still tipped preemptively) followed by 30 min wait for two pupusas. I was one of 3 people in the place. Nobody asked how I was, did I need water? I finally asked for my money back and left. The bathroom was dirty, no soap for anyone to wash their hands, hot, no ambiance, no music. Felt like I was being punished. I used to recommend this place to everyone. I’m sorry I ever did. We are in 2022 in Portland. There are tons of places to get good pupusas. RIP Don’t Chepes! Never again.

Pupusas are amazing but the service is not great, they’re so understaffed and you’re lucky if you get the right order. Parking is also not the best. But we keep coming back for the pupusas.

If you are in the Gresham- Portland area, there is a Central American restaurant that caters to food from Honduras, El Salvador, and Mexican staples. Pulling up to the restaurant one notices that the foot traffic is constant which is a great sign. The food came quickly , the price was reasonable to a point since we ordered 2 speciality pollo Guisado (guanaco) and tacos/tamal plate in addition Yuca con Chicharrón, along with a baleada, and two pupusas con queso. The food came hot and steamy. It was made to order.
