Cheng’s Kitchen is truly one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. As a loyal customer who visits regularly—sometimes even twice a day—I can confidently say this place consistently delivers amazing food and excellent service.
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Some of my personal favorites are the wonton soup, the fried chicken with shrimp fried rice, and the shrimp with lobster sauce. The crab rangoons are also absolutely delicious and a must-try. Everything is prepared well, and the flavors are always on point.
What makes Cheng’s Kitchen even better is the warm and welcoming customer service. The staff are always kind, professional, and treat customers like family. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, which makes it easy to keep coming back.
Another big plus is the convenience—it’s right up the street for me, which makes it my go-to spot whenever I’m craving great Chinese food. And I can’t forget to mention the sweet tea, which pairs perfectly with the meals.
Overall, Cheng’s Kitchen gets a 10 out of 10 from me—so good it broke my scale. If you’re looking for authentic food, great prices, and friendly service, this is definitely a place you should check out. Highly recommended!

Was visiting family in Tampa today and we were on our way home to order food. We encountered this place. The ordering process was very simple and the owner was very graceful explaining. The food was absolutely delicious…we ordered Orange ,chicken, Bourbon chicken, boneless ribs, special lo mein and pork fried rice. My favorite was the boneless ribs. My sister lives there and I would definitely return when I am back ..this was today 8/23/2025.

I really wanted to like this place being so close by. Spent $57.00 and the food isn’t edible… all the “chicken” looks like the picture below. I’m not certain what this is but this isn’t chicken that I’m use to eating. The service was fine, restaurant was average for take out nothing overly clean but this really wasn’t good tasting food. The eggrolls seemed like they were missing filling also. Just not what we expected. I’d say try somewhere else or make a drive to another town if you can.

We tried Chen’s Kitchen and I’m so glad we did! The dinner portions are large so be aware when ordering. We’ve had different entrees including Hunan Chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan (to die for), shrimp or chicken with vegetables, and more. The food has been delicious and quality consistent every time. Reasonable prices too!! Our new go – to.

First time here and I just tried a little bit of everything I ordered just so I can tell right away if this is a place I would be coming back to. I was pleasantly surprised actually because everything is cooked to perfection! Oh well, at least to my liking and I am a die-hard Chinese food fanatic. This place is definitely a lot better, like more authentic than the rest of the Chinese take outs I have ever tried here. You will definitely enjoy the dishes here and I am not just talking about the taste. You also get the bang for your bucks. It’s a win-win to spend your money here folks.

My personal favorites are the shrimp fried rice with fried chicken, the shrimp or lobster sauce, the dumplings, and the small mixed soup — honestly, everything on the menu is delicious. The prices are great, the portions are generous, and the quality never disappoints.

My recent takeout from Chen’s Kitchen was a bit of a mixed bag. The General Tso’s chicken was definitely the highlight. The chicken was crispy, and the sauce had a good balance of sweet and spicy, making for a satisfying meal. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian General Tso’s option on the menu, which is a great touch for those with dietary restrictions.
On the other hand, the dumplings were a letdown. They were bland and lacked the savory flavor I usually expect. The texture was fine, but they were pretty forgettable without the dipping sauce.
Overall, Chen’s Kitchen feels like a standard neighborhood Chinese takeout joint. The 4.5-star rating feels a little high for what is, in my experience, a pretty typical spot that isn’t any cheaper than its competitors. That said, the General Tso’s was good enough that I’d consider ordering it again. If you’re in the mood for a reliable meal it’s a solid choice.

Was excited to try a new chinese restaurant and ordered the cashew chicken. When I got home I noticed there were only peanuts on the dish and no cashews. I called the restaurant and they did not apologize and just explained to me how they made the mistake. They told me to drive back to the restaurant for a cup of cashews (a 40 min drive roundtrip). The male on the phone was very rude and did not offer any other option to rectify their mistake. Thankfully doordash refunded my meal, but this restaurant did not care that they made a mistake and did not care to fix their mistake.

Ordered takeout for the first time tonight from this restaurant. Service was prompt, the atmosphere was pleasant, and most of the dishes were well-prepared and flavorful. However, the Magnolia’s Beef was a letdown. It had an overwhelming amount of onions, far more than meat, which threw off the balance and made the dish feel more like a stir-fried onion plate with beef as a garnish. Please do better considering how much you charge for your food!
