I love that you can drive up, order and get your food. I’m irritated that you have to request sweet and sour sauce for items that normally come with that standard. I’ve got an order of crab rangoons that are worthless without the sauce – apparently you have to ask for it which is dumb in my opinion. If it needs to be ordered separately – put it on the menu!

Food was better than I expected! The rice could have used for flavoring but if you add some sweet & sour with soy sauce, it was manageable. Try and go for lunch time so you can do the lunch special. Otherwise, prices seemed a little higher for what you are getting in quantity and quality. Overall, MHK doesn’t have a ton of options for Chinese and this wasn’t a bad choice!

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Chen’s tonight and won’t be returning.
The food quality was poor – the chicken was overcooked, and both the eggroll and fried rice were bland. When I tried to order jalapeño chicken, the manager made an inappropriate joke accusing me of eating the food. When I didn’t find it funny and requested a refund, he threw my money back at me in a disrespectful manner.
The combination of subpar food and unprofessional, rude service from management means I can’t recommend this restaurant. Manhattan deserves better Chinese food options.

Ordered from here on Uber eats, told them we have an onion allergy in our party. They told us to just pick them off. It took an hour and a half for the food to even show up. And when it did it was actually the WORST tasting Chinese food i think I’d ever had. No seasoning on the fried rice, the short ribs are bright red for some reason and don’t have any flavor, not even salt. The egg drop soup tasted old. They wouldn’t even respond to phone calls when we tried to call them. Even Uber eats support was ignored when they called the restaurant.. do NOT eat here, they don’t care.

The lunch specials are a very fair price for a good amount of food, and I’ve never left hungry. The hot and sour soup is good, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The chicken and beef have always seemed tender to me, and not chewy. I am sometimes left wishing that the food was more flavorful, since it’s a little bland at times. But I’ll keep going here for lunch, and trying new things. The staff has always been friendly, and seemed like they cared, so that’s in their favor.

It was a Saturday at noon. It quickly became busy with pickup orders and dine ins. The waiter was pleasant. Food was served hot and sweet and sour chicken was delicious with tender chicken. Egg drop soup was wonderful, great flavor and seasoning.

Been here for three days and this was by far the worst food we’ve had in manhattan. In was unanimous with the group it was almost inedible. The cashew chicken seemed to have real cashews but the chicken certainly didn’t taste like chicken. It tasted like maybe they were using chicken parts that maybe go into hot dogs or something. Not quality chicken like breast, thigh, legs anything recognizable. Trust me on this one. I can eat anything and everything good or not. I ate most of it but it’s the worst mean I’ve had in 6 months ♂️. Be suspicious of Restaurants and businesses with a 4.2 or lower google rating.

Very impressed with the portion sizes. It was a lot of food, but unfortunately I forgot the pictures of sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice. The bowl of soup was like 3x a normal bowl; however, neither of us cared for it. Besides that, everything was delicious.
The price was very reasonable for the portion and flavor we got. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Something I wasn’t happy with was that we entered and sat ourselves as the sign says. No one came over. An employee was sitting down looking at us from the other side of the restaurant and an employee right behind us. I get that they’re eating, though one was just talking on the phone, but they can’t holler that we are waiting almost 10 minutes for help? I went to the counter asking if we can order when the man told us to sit down and I told him.. well, that’s what we were doing lol. He came over and was super nice and helped us, but everyone was just sitting around relaxing and eating meanwhile we are just waiting and waiting. The food was worth this brief bump (minus the chicken and corn soup, don’t recommend that).
