Everyone was very friendly, but the food was not good. The rice was dry, and the chicken lo mein didn’t taste fresh. The greenery in it was so wilted that I couldn’t tell what it was, and the chicken was too soft and just tasted off, like a bit sour almost. You could tell it has been sitting a long time. All of it was extremely salty, more so than usual at a Chinese takeout. Only giving it 3 stars because of staff friendliness and how fast it was ready. Otherwise, 2.

This place is such a disappointment. We got the general tso’s chicken and my wife and I shared it as a family size. The chicken was so hard you couldn’t even bite through it. I felt like I was going to break my teeth. I’ve had this experience from other Chinese restaurants and it goes from the simple fact that they overcook the chicken cuz they’re not paying attention. I wish I could find a good Chinese restaurant around here that gives it right every time. Please don’t eat here, you will just waste your money. I know there are a lot of good reviews. Not only they very hard pieces of chicken that we received, but the pieces were so small that there were more breading than chicken. That tells me they are cutting corners with their food to save money. Again, my wife and I love Chinese food and this place was a big disappointment. The egg rolls were almost tasteless. This place is hands down the worst Chinese restaurant that we’ve had in Columbia. I wish I could get my money back.

Quality & quantity of the food is going downhill. Any time I order something with shrimp, there are only a few pieces in the dish. Last time I ordered the Triple Delight, there were literally 4 pcs of shrimp AND it was over cooked. The chicken was unrecognizable, it honestly looked like fake chicken. I didn’t eat the chicken, but my husband did and he spent the next 2 days in the bathroom.

Needed to feed the family in hurry for lunch and Chen’s hit the spot. Everything was hot and fresh, even my picky 8 yr old was eating with no fuss. If you want some great Chinese take out, look no further Chen’s is the place.

First time eating here i’m not impressed. i’ve been trying to find a good chinese food place around here, this isn’t it. It’s not the worst but it’s definitely not the best. I Ordered the crab Rangoons and they tasted bitter instead of sweet as well as bland (like plain hot cream cheese), the general tso chicken had no sauce and was extremely hard and chewey at the same time. the vegetable Lo-mein just tasted like old vegetable water and the Teriyaki chicken was extremely greasy. After eating this food im not feeling to well either. I don’t recommend it

Chen’s has the best Egg Drop soup. It is pure comfort food. I also love the Spring Rolls, Dumplings and Crab Rangoon. In fact every dish I have eaten has been delicious. The lady , Cindy, that takes your order is especially friendly. The whole place has a nice warm atmosphere and very clean.
