Soup is too bland for our taste.
Chicken wings were just okay. Service is fast though.
The original seafood rice noodle soup has a variety of condiments and toppings. The original soup base has a neutral taste. You can adjust the soup flavor with the many condiments and toppings that are provided which accentuate the flavor of the soup to your liking. The original beef rice noodle soup has a more of a neutral taste and less flavoring as the seafood rice noodle soup. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and highly recommend you to come here.

We had a little bit of a slow start. We arrived at 11:00 am (opening time) and pretty much picked our own table. No one was at the counter to greet us. Most likely because they were busy getting ready for the lunch service. It gave us time to look over the menu. The menu wasn’t too terribly complicated. There are 5 basic broth flavors. The non-spicy options are original, tomato, and pickled pepper broth. The spicy options are numbing Sichuan peppercorn and spicy broth. I originally wanted to try the Sichuan peppercorn, but I wasn’t sure what numbing meant at the time. Now I know that it refers to the tingling sensation you get with that particular spice. I would love to try a sample of it one day. Instead, I played it safe by getting the pickled pepper broth. It turned out to be a great choice along with the fatty beef and accompaniments.
Everything was presented beautifully. You get your tray, rice noodles, and boiling hot broth delivered to your table. The host added the quail egg first, then the meat and veggies. He did that so well. I would have probably splashed the broth all over myself. It doesn’t take long for it to cook and blend together. The fatty beef was very good. I really liked that quail egg. I’ve had it at other restaurants and didn’t like it. This one tasted great! The broth wasn’t salty, and the pickled pepper broth (I think a chicken base) was actually quite good. I could taste the pickled pepper. It was a fresh taste. Yes, very simple but also very satisfying. I’d definitely get the same rice noodle soup again. It had tofu skin, green scallions, wood ear mushrooms, and all kinds of interesting flavors. I’m also thankful for the other Yelp reviews and tips. I didn’t add the lettuce (to keep it from tasting like romaine). The choice of fatty beef and the selection of the pickled pepper broth worked out in my favor. It definitely suited my taste buds.
I will definitely go back to try the Sichuan peppercorn broth. I just need to be in the mood for spicy.
