This is the coolest little restaurant with the best flavor! Everyone is so nice and the food is exactly what you’re hoping it is. We started coming here once a month with our baby appointments, wife loves it! This is where she only wants to come now every visit.

This is such a hidden gem. Back behind some hotels, this was the best experience we had in Baton Rouge. Everyone should visit. If I didn’t live over an hour away I’d be here way more often. The owner came by and was so charming and kind. Beautiful presentation of the entrees and tasted fantastic. Can’t say enough.

We really enjoyed Cheng’s Restaurant and Bar. The atmosphere is very friendly, a family restaurant vibe. The service is first class, quick, friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the food that we ordered. I had a shrimp and broccoli with a sweet sauce that was delicious. A very good spot to eat.

I was really looking forward to trying Cheng’s, especially because several reviews mentioned the duck. I love duck and that was the main reason I chose this restaurant, but unfortunately my experience didn’t live up to the hype. The duck was mediocre at best.
I was also surprised that they didn’t have steamed buns on the menu. For an Asian restaurant, that feels like a pretty basic item to be missing.
The seaweed salad was also disappointing and lacked the flavor and freshness I usually expect from this dish.
I chose Chengs because the restaurant is rated 4.7 on Google, and honestly, based on my experience, I just don’t understand that rating. In no world would I give this place a 4.7.
Overall, the experience left me underwhelmed and disappointed. I had high hopes based on the reviews, but it simply didn’t deliver.

Ordered takeout and everything was absolutely delicious. The 5 spice chicken was outstanding—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The bok choy was my favorite, fresh and seasoned just right. The Mongolian beef was also excellent, tender with great flavor. Quality food and a great takeout experience. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

The food and service at Cheng’s was fantastic. The egg roll was the perfect amount of crunch while still soft on the inside. The Mongolian beef was the most delicious sweet and savory. The garlic pork was cooked with the perfect amount of spice. We had a great experience. The owner came around to our table to speak with us. A very, very kind man. I recommend a visit!

Food was less than mediocre and service was terrible. Service should’ve been good since the place was pretty empty. Waiter never checked on us, never refilled my drink, and I had to flag him down 20 minutes after finishing my food
