Not good at all…..dishes aren’t prepared as one expects. They have familiar names but the ingredients, textures and taste is not….and not in a good way. It seems like someone who’s never had these dishes guessed how they’re made and got it wrong. I’m all for new experiences, tastes and flavors….but it should good….it isn’t. The food is what one would expect when the cook has a captive audience, as in school, the military or prison. Thankfully that’s not the case, there are plenty of choices out there…and I won’t choose this place agian.

I’m afraid I’m very picky and prefer upscale Chinese like Peony Bistro or Lucky Bamboo, but this crap tastes like something you’d get in Las Vegas far far away from the strip in a rundown section and you eat there because you don’t have much money. No flavor no spice greasy and bland. I hope I don’t get food poisoning. Yuck.
The only thing I can say about it is that you can definitely get your fill there and the price is right.
Note- I’m talking about the Cheng’s BUFFET restaurant, not the one on Deo Drive. Disgusting!

My husband and love this place! When we moved here a few years ago, we tried almost every local Chinese restaurant. Cheng’s is by far the best! Everything tastes good, they never disappoint.

I came in to place an order and the guy working was the rudest individual I have encountered. I don’t eat out but my grand baby wanted this she loves the Buffett place. I walked in there are children at the table unattended as the guy is working hard to get out orders . The iPad volumes are on high . Hopefully these children get to play and not made to sit 7 days a week from open to close while parents work I also work in customer service and no matter how bad my day is I have to go on like it’s the best day everyday . I don’t ignore someone standing in front of me ever the phone can wait . I won’t be back . This is my opinion everyone else can have theirs . As I left no thank you, have a good day, nothing .

1st time around:
Ordered a quart of Wonton Egg Drop soup (pictured.) The taste was delicious, but the consistency of the soup was…. interesting. It was thick like snot or something. Again, the taste was really good. Would order again just to make sure it was an off day or if it’s just how the soup is. Also got the shrimp roll and it was so fresh! Tasted superb. Will definitely return.
2nd and most likely final visit:
I had this location rated a 4 for my first time visiting. This time was the nail on the coffin. I ordered the L30 lunch combo with pork and mushrooms. Came with side choice of both soup and rice. I chose plain white rice and wonton soup. The soup’s broth was a strange, but edible flavor. The wontons in the soup also had a weird flavor. The pork was a bit fatty. Honestly, the only good part of this dish was the rice and mushrooms and that’s not what I paid $13 for.

Always on time with food being done if not sooner. If there’s an item they are missing or something wasn’t ordered clearly then they will call to ask and verify your order. Always friendly and fast . Plentiful servings , you will be full and have leftovers for sure ! Food always amazing and I’ve never had an upset stomach from the food besides over eating on occasion haha. It’s good food, please tip them .

What a little savior on a Sunday. Had no idea it would be so difficult to find a place to eat on a Sunday in Amish county. We weren’t expecting anything above average but were so glad we had found a place to grab takeout on a Sunday. Well the food was really good!! Little family owned restaurant, delicious. I swear the best Chinese restaurants are in small towns!

I get my order to go. However. The food here is great! I always get Singapore mei fun and beef with hot sauce (this was my craving during pregnancy too). I’m assuming she’s the owner, always a joy speaking with the woman behind the counter. And I highly recommend trying the donuts.
