Came here on a whim after finding out our original restaurant started closing earlier.
This food absolutely smacked. It instantly became a new favorite. The meat was so juicy. The veggies were perfectly cooked; with a nice crunch, and the portions were shockingly large for the prices.
We got the hot and spicy steak, garlic sauce chicken, and a couple apps! So tasty.
The woman was very kind, too!

Don’t order the sesame shrimp they use the baby shrimp and have 90% of it filled with batter so it makes it look bigger very disgusting. This was all the leftover batter. Plus there was a bunch of little hair in my rice I just didn’t even eat it

I’ve ordered from Chengs many, many times – but no more. For whatever reason, my egg foo young was absolutely disgusting today. The gravy was thicker than peanut butter, and the flavor was just… off. Its never been like that before, and I don’t know what happened to make it like that this time, but I couldn’t eat it – gross enough that I will be ordering elsewhere going forward.

Pretty disappointed, I called to have food delivered. I’m within 10-11 miles of
the restaurant that I’ve been going to for years. My orders are never small as I have a big family to feed. Consistently exceeding $100. When I called, they said they only deliver up to 7 miles. This is not what their text message said. Please do better: don’t advertise up to 15 miles and, when called, claim otherwise.

Don’t order through DoorDash or you will be treated like crap. I arrived at the pickup time and didn’t get my order for an hour after the time, was ignored and snapped at for just asking how long it might be. I watched multiple people come in, put in an order and leave with their food – I ordered 2 things that were small and I only received 4 out of 6 of the wontons – so the lesson, just call or order in person but I won’t be back after this experience.

DO NOT buy the combo platter they fill the bottom with rice to make it look bigger it’s a huge ripoff. The beef from here is always chewing and tastes like fish just go to Chinese express it’s cheaper and they don’t rip you off

Favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in Minneapolis! My family’s been coming to this place since I was a kid, and I know for sure my parents have gotten the chicken wings with fried rice here since before I was born. That’s still their favorite dish today. And Cheng’s serving sizes???? PACKED. They do not skimp out on fried rice or white rice for their dishes. Swear one order of chicken wings with fried rice can feed 2-3 people. Came here on Christmas too and the staff were working as fast as they could to get the orders out. Love this place.

I ordered a 4pc wing and shrimp fried rice . As I started to eat the rice I felt something crunchy and spit it out ! It was a peanut … I am severely allergic to peanuts ! Mangment was no help . Respectful but no help at all !

This restaurant is so good! I tried two different soups (chicken and rice & egg drop,) and they were hot and delicious. I’m pretty picky with soups, especially these two types in particular, but these were the best soups I’ve had from a Chinese restaurant in a long time. The chow mein noodle toppings that come with were a nice addition too. Wontons were great. General Tso chicken with fried rice was also great. The price for everything was beyond reasonable, especially the soup for how much you get, and the food was ready very quickly.
