It is extremely hard to check off all my boxes with Chinese cuisine. This restaurant did that, and then some!
When first placing a to-go order over the phone, I initially thought wow the prices are a little high. But….. then I opened all the food once I arrived at home, and it was sooooooo worth it!
I ordered the Orange chicken with white rice. (Big enough for at least 2-3 people and i was so happy they don’t drench the chicken in the sauce. Just the right amount!)
A side of 8 pot stickers. (Thrilled to see they were steamed and not pan fried.)
A large side of pork fried rice. (Very flavorful and came with 8 pieces of BBQ pork.)
And a small side of fried shrimp. (BEST shrimp I’ve had. Pieces were big and came with lots of red sauce on the side.)
I will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

First time. Impressed by the fresh vegetables in their vegetable deluxe entree. A spacious restaurant, comfortable booths, and some window seating. Great location in Dallas. Clean and well maintained and that is important for Chinese restaurants. Nice staff and attentive. A senior menu was appreciated. Extensive and clean menu. Nice layout based on theme. We will be back to try some of their many other dishes.

Came across Chens Family Dish resturant while visiting the city of Dallas today its located right next to Safeway grocery store.
We got there around noon and there were only a handful of customers in the spacious resturant which has booth seating as well as table seating, we were greeted by a friendly staff which seated us and brought us tea and ice water and menu’s and informed us of the lunch special , the place is clean and smells delicious, I ordered the mongolian beef with pork fried rice and bbq pork strips , my wife ordered the green bean chicken with pork fried rice the wait time was minimal and the food arrived steaming hot. The ingredients the veggies were soft yet crispy and definitly fresh, the beef strips were plentiful and melted in the mouth the rice fully cooked with the right mix of veggies and pork bits was flavorfull and fresh and not lumpy. My wife also loved her food and we both agreed that we had found a great resturant that we will difinitly be visiting again in the future. The cost was around 30 dollars for both meal and we took home about half of our plates. The restrooms were clean and theres also a room with slots availible for entertainment. Overall I would recommend Chen Family Dish Resturant to anyone.

Favorite place to go eat after Church. Food taste home made and like it has been made at time of order. I love veggies and they are crunchy instead of limp and soggy. Prices are fair for the portion sizes. Fast service once you ordered food.

The best Chinese diner you could possibly ever go to, they serve a lot, and I mean A LOT, of food for pretty cheap prices. For example, a small Sweet and Sour Chicken gets you like 25 pieces for only 13 dollars?! This is the best family diner I’ve ever been to. If you want a large, it’s only 16 dollars, 3 more dollars than the small. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is great, and the staff are amazing people, and they are so nice. I really do recommend this place if you want to dine with your family, and the food is the best food I have ever eaten. I really do love this place.

My family really enjoyed the food and our waitress was excellent! But unfortunately, I don’t think we will be dining-in again. Someone who appeared to be in charge of the waitstaff sat at table near us with her phone blaring. Instead of a nice family dinner out, the whole restaurant had to listen to a loud foreign tv show coming from her phone. Very unpleasant! It basically took over our family dinner conversation… we all sat in silence annoyed with what was blaring at the table next to us. I would have given them 5 stars if that had not ruined our evening.

This place has amazing Chinese food. I really enjoy all the dishes. The pork, sweet and sour was crispy and the sauce wasn’t too runny. I love the fried rice. They don’t put too much soy sauce which allowed me to put the right amount in. The fried shrimp was really crispy and yummy and fresh. Every time I’m in Dallas I eat here.

restaurant with enthusiastic staff from local community. Food was fresh and tasty..Excellent mango beef with just the right blend of tang. Medly of fresh steam veggies on the side provided good balance. Beef chow fun (wide rice noodles ) had tender beef, marinated but light enough to have a good beef tasty..Fried rice was among the tastiest for a Chinese American eatery. Tasty and NOT greasy. Good experience.
Staff and owners keep the place tidy and clean. Dining room, well lit with nice wood accent .
