This establishment is disgusting. From the customer service to the food. We just purchased $70 worth of food found bugs in our food and asked for a refund for only 2 of the orders. They send a rude delivery man (that we tipped) who looks at both orders and say we can’t get a refund because we ate from it. As if it was our fault that we didn’t look for bugs before eating our food. I will be calling the health department everyday !

Golden Wok, at 8th and 19th, is a very typical Chinese takeout place, but it’s my favorite in the area. I’ve had a good number of dishes from there, and have never been disappointed. My current addiction is their boneless spare ribs. As a combo it comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. It’s truly delicious, and I just can’t get enough of it.
While the food is great, so is the staff. Here, you don’t have to deal with the rudeness that you’d normally have to deal with at these types of restaurants. In fact, there is one woman at the counter (she always wears a baseball cap and is the shorter of the two women who are there), who is very nice and friendly. If you engage her, she’ll even be a bit chatty. She’s a very sweet lady. Between the great food and the nice staff, I just keep coming back.

Ordered a quart of egg drop soup, $6 cash
The soup is perfectlt salty, just peppery enough, generous with egg, and ever so slightly gelatinous. I am not an expert on egg drop soup but I’d give it a 10/10 especially for the price:quantity

Beautiful Disaster
Honestly with the numbers of plates i have gotten they truly never disappoint. You gotta make sure u let them know how u perfer your food. I can say their was only one time i ever had a complain and that was with the chicken wings. But after that i learned to make sure to let them know how i like it after that. They also not as pricey as other chinese restaurants in the area. I also have a sensitive stomach and their food has yet to give me a stomachache.

i think the food could be better. the jumbo shrimp was so disgusting, i wasted $16 on it. literally it was just bread and when broken apart, the shrimp was so small… definitely not getting my money ever again!!!!!!

Let me tell you that I ordered the most yummiest string beans and chicken in white sauce from this place. The flavors are unreal and there is fresh garlic and carrot pieces and it is just amazing. Picture was taken after I ate. The space is just a hole in the wall in a sketchy area but the employees seem nice. Make sure you come with cash.

It is what it is cheap Chinese food but for seven dollars or so you can’t go wrong . steer clear of the sesame chicken not the greatest, I tried the steamed chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce it was a decent attempt but nothing to write home to mom about . then again you get what you pay for.

It is obvious to me that the reviews I’m reading are put there by someone who is invested in this operation. I ordered chicken wings and vegetable fried rice and was highly disappointed by what was delivered. The wings were super small and looked as if they were 100 years old. Even the homemade iced tea wasn’t good. This is the first time I’ve seen a Chinese Restaurant destroy a simple order like this, it was horrible!!! I literally could not eat that “chicken “, if that’s what it really was. Even the rice had an odd consistency, like it was weird to chew. Did I tell you they messed up the iced tea also? The absolute worst meal I have had in a long time. I’ve never given a review before, but this was soooo bad that I was compelled to save people from having an experience like I just had. SMDH
