I had both, and the kubideh was by far better than the chicken. Along with basmati berenj (rice), it was great. Wish we had tahdigh, and somagh.
Also has sides of Fesenjoon, Ghormeh Sabzi, lentil soup and Mirza Bademjan.
The doogh was a nice touch, albeit was not carbonated, which would have been a delight.
All in all, a great place, will be coming back for sure.
Since most of us are new to me, Mediterranean foodit might be helpful to have a way of learning more about it and possibly tasting it before ordering things
I ordered what I thought were french fries but it was another dish. It was mostly rice and shaved mushrooms. I believe it was a very pleasant experience and I plan to come back.
Chello Grill is a Mediterranean gem in Albuquerque!
Every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection — from the delicious Falafel bites and gyro cuts to the creamy hummus and crispy fries topped with feta and herbs. The chickpea salad was refreshing and well-seasoned too.
Portions are generous, the space is bright and clean, and the staff is super friendly. You can tell they take pride in the food and the service. Highly recommend stopping by — you won’t leave hungry!
Pro Tip
If you’re unsure what to order, ask for sampler options – they’re helpful, and the team is friendly and eager to guide your choice. But honestly, anything you pick is a jackpot of flavor.
I go the schwarma sandwich with feta, my husband got a gyro bowl and my kids got the kids schwarma and rice. I also got the south tea (peach and strawberry) and it was delicious without being too sweet. (If you are from the south this is NOT sweet tea but black tea with flavored syrups)
Recommending items and let me taste test numerous sides. My wife was really happy with her dish. I had the #2 plate which had shawarma and something else I can’t remember the name of. It was all excellent. Will return
waited half an hour for a little bit of rice with a little bit of meat on top, the side that i paid for was hardly there, like less than a tablespoon full.. literally gave me a single olive…
i live just a few minutes away and food was completely cold by the time i got to it.
i truly wanted to like this place but it was actually terrible.
legitimately so disappointed, that i’m actually writing a review about it.
0/10 save your money and time.. go somewhere else.
