A creative chef who’s not afraid to challenge your palate and is driven by her passion to satisfy. Friends, guest and new comers are in tow at least 3 times a week. Can’t get enough of the unexpected daily specials, not to mention the variety of choices on each menu item. Just brilliant. If you’re lucky enough to be there on the day she makes pork ribs paired with her signature green salsa, don’t hesitate to add corn tortillas with that order. And, absolutely don’t forget to ask for her fresh made drinks. Those alone are excuse enough to dine in. This is quality cuisine not to be missed.

Don’t miss this Amazing family-run eatery with the most gracious hospitality & delicious menu in an bright decor. Mama’s home-made flour tortillas are best in class! When I asked about the carnitas, Stephanie’s eyes lit up. I knew I made the right choice even before eating them. ☺️The meat melted in my mouth. The charro beans have a balanced flavor. The mango-guava agua fresca tastes like ripe fruit off the tree. To top it all off, this is hands-down the cleanest restaurant in my life.

The service was quick and friendly. Portions were just right and priced fairly. We had the street tacos and Huarache both with beef fajita. We also had the mango guava agua fresca it was refreshing and not to sweet. The fajita was cooked perfectly with wonderful flavor that rivals many of the top notch fajitas I’ve had.

This past Monday I took my Mom and her best friend to Chelis Mexican restaurant, which has only been open for about 9 months, and very little people must know about it..As far as the review, where do I start. When we first walked in, the other guest that were eating looked up, and said “The food is amazing” lol.. The restaurant is not huge but decorated to perfection, the colors, the lovely dining tables and chairs painted mexican style, the art work, the food…. so authentic. That was just what we were looking for.

First off this is a super cute place and very clean. The Strawberry water was really good! They close at 9pm and we got there at 8pm. We were the only ones in there and we still just sat there for 7 minutes before the lady came to get our drink order. We order drinks and queso. It takes about 15ish minutes to get queso, and it tastes like straight Velveeta with a couple of pieces of tomato in it. (Ok but definitely Not great) My boyfriend gets his plate first and I got mine 5 minutes later. (Pet peeve of mine is people getting food at different times). Anyway, the food was alright but again not great. We do want to try it again earlier in the day and see if that makes a difference. Constructive criticism… Customer service should be consistent. We were the only ones there, and no one came to ask if we needed anything.

What an amazing place, found it by chance driving to Rockport. This will be our route from now on so we can eat here every time. Everything was so good, the homemade Tortillas, the lean and tender brisket in a large burrito, queso, quac, salsa, just everything. Such great service and people there. The chicken and steak nachos were amazing, as well as the special tonight, shrimp stew with crab. Can’t wait to eat here again. It was so affordable, they don’t charge enough. Leave a big tip.
