I came across Chefs Providence when looking for a good croissant. Visit the place on Cornerstone and was hooked. It was a bit far but would make the trip. I was excited when they opened the one in Old Town Spring, much closer. Now they opened in Tomball!! I have no words, they are only a 10 minute drive. I can get my fix when the craving hit, well only on the days they are open. I think I have tried everything at least once and have never been disappointed. My favorite are the diplomate croissant and the lemon meringue. Everything else is a close second.

It was brought to my attention that Chef’s Providence recently had their grand opening in Old Town Tomball. I was meeting someone in the area this afternoon so we decided to come by and visit the new location. Very simple and elegant exterior with plenty of parking nearby.
Both of us had the lemon meringue tart and I had a iced latte to go with mine. I am the type of person to devour any type of lemon pastries and this is one of the best. Just the right balance of tart and sweetness. The velvety smooth lemon curd, the flaky crust, everything was perfectly balanced. Just magnificent.
I have been a customer at their original Cornerstone location for years and this place has the same pastries and charm as that one. If you are in the area and in need of a break from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend making a stop at Chef’s Providence.

Absolutely lovely family business! The French food and atmosphere is such a breath of fresh air in downtown Tomball, adding something unique to the mix of shops. The pastries are beautiful and delicious. The ham and cheese Croissants was warm and gooey is all the right ways definitely check this place out! But come early!!!

I attempted to order a cake for my wife’s birthday, but the customer service was incredibly disappointing. While I was fine with their $200 upfront payment policy, the communication from Maxime was rude and unprofessional. When I asked for an invoice while I confirmed who would be picking up the cake, I was told they wouldn’t accept the order if all info wasn’t provided immediately, ending with a dismissive ‘wish you the best.’
In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t order. I recently tasted their Opera cake and other cakes it was poor quality—far too much cream and a hard texture. Anyone familiar with authentic French pâtisserie will know immediately that this isn’t the real deal. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Love chefs providence (frequent visitor to the Old town spring location) and so excited for their new storefront here in tomball!! They continuously deliver fresh and delicious pastries that are unmatched anywhere else in Houston and always have fantastic, friendly service. The new location is great with some shady bistro tables out front and the French music adds such a nice touch. Awesome work guys!

I was born in France and moved here as a child. We would go back every summer and I always remembered the pastries. The croissant, the pain au chocolat, the éclair…. This tastes like home. My first bite from here transported me back to childhood to my grandmother’s kitchen, eating a croissant with a hot chocolate in front of me…
No but seriously, their pastries are TOP quality. The French make the best (in my opinion) and these taste as if you’re sitting in a little cafe in Paris along the Seine.
LOVE this place <3

I just happened on the new Chefs Providence in Tomball. What a find! I was hungry so I ordered a quiche—warmed. I wasnt expecting it to be so PERFECT. The taste and texture was perfect from crust to filling. Next I got a chocolate croissant. Best Ive ever had. The chocolate inside was excellent. The croissant flakey and light. Ive brought friends back twice and it has been consistently perfect each time! Bon apetit, yall!

Such a cute bakery with great quality pastries. I am very picky when it comes to sweets, especially croissants and tarts. But this bakery did not deceive. They have amazing pastries that are made from scratch. The people working there are so nice too. The bakery is in a very cute neighborhood. The atmosphere is just amazing.
