Friendly staff, quick service, clean establishment, and decent menu options. It was our first time here. The chicken on the sub was a little dry but willing to try it again. The fries were good – crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. They weren’t oily or overly salted which I prefer. The chicken pot stickers were short on chicken stuffing, but the sauce (I think it was a blend of chili or sweet and sour sauce) boosted the flavor.

Finally! We found a fabulous stop off 81 from NY to VA. We have had some terrible experiences and this hidden gem was so refreshing. The place is clean and quiet and the family is really nice! Perfect! The little touches like fresh ground pepper on the table and hand cream in the restroom made this place really special. We will be adding this to our map every trip!

Update: Our latest stop was the greatest! We got to meet Mom! Everything was even better! I was happy to see they have improved rather than declined during the economic downturn. Everywhere else has cut corners, while Chef’s Corner still has all the corners covered! 😉

Walking into this establishment greeted and welcomed. No rush atmosphere while I gaze at the menu, I ordered a cup of potato leek soup which was hot and delicious. It had chunky potatoes and I’m not sure what else was in it but I enjoyed every bite. As for my sandwich I ordered their beef and cheddar, OMG, this was so delicious, thick, loaded with cheese, I’ll put this up against any chain beef and cheese. Definitely worth the trip.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch while traveling on 81. The reviews were very good, so we thought we’d try it. I had the roast beef dip with fries; the roast beef was very tender and tasty and the fries were delicious. My husband had the cod sandwich which he said was also very good, and he loved the fries (he’s usually very picky about fries). We will definitely be returning because of the food and service and it’s close to a halfway point on our frequent trips from northern NY to Northern VA. Thank you, Chef(s)!!

We had the Cajun Mac n Cheese with beef. The Generals chicken was a much healthier version than the local take out store with fresh broccoli and the Frankie sandwich with sweet potato fries. We dined in, but the portions are large, so we had to box them to go.

You Need To Know? No wait to be seated but the food itself took a bit of time. It was a friday night. We had the French onion soup, Baja shrimp tacos, filet mignon cheesesteak & the Buffalo chicken tenders. The French onion soup which came with one croutons was a pass. Not enough soup but too much onions. The chicken tenders were very salty & overdone for our liking. The steak sandwich came on a fresh bun with very tender steak bites. Delicious sandwich! Now You Know!

My family LOVES chefs corner. We all have our favorites on the everyday menu but having daily specials means we hardly ever get sick of eating here. We do often do takeout but the shop is always clean and well lit with a lot of goodies in the cooler so I would have no issues dining in. The owner and staff are amazing people. Give them a try! You won’t regret it!

Stopped here as a way to break up a road trip and the reviews did not disappoint. We had a party of 4 adults and one toddler. Relaxed enough atmosphere for him to move around a bit. Food came out quickly and was very fresh. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they got. We ordered soups, salads, sandwiches and Mac and cheese for the toddler. The best Buffalo chicken wrap I’ve ever had. The breading on the chicken was crispy and the Buffalo sauce had great flavor. Sad we don’t live closer. Will definitely keep this one on our list if we’re back this way.

Girlfriend and I stopped here quick for lunch, and the food was fantastic, especially at the price point you guys hit.
I got the Not Famous Bowl and she got French Dip. Both were tasty and both had good portions.
Zero complaints at all, and totally will be stopping by again to try more menu items.
