I met a friend there and we both agree the food was great! We both had the chicken fried steak. It was big and tasted fantastic. The salad bar was average but it was good. The server was great! The only problem (the reason I didn’t give 5 stars) it was too warm in the dining area. I would eat there again.

~ We stopped in on our way to bowling and the people were awesome and the food was even better. I would absolutely recommend this place. Yummy! Chicken fajita nachos are to die for. Salsa is super good and hot, but I’m a baby. The tea was great too. I’m a tea drinker and that isn’t always the case. Love, love, love it! We will definitely be back. ❤️

I don’t understand why this place doesn’t do better. The food is always fresh & well prepared. People should be lined up at the door. They have awesome grilled fish, baked sweet potatoes & beautiful salads. Eat healthy & wise you don’t have to skimp.
Now the cheesecake? Omg..the best since The Spaghetti Warehouses. It is well priced for the portion also. They don’t let you leave hungry. If you do? Its your fault. Love it!

Really great food! Service was a little slow due to an employee no-show. Seems to be a popular place. The menu variety was good, something for the whole family. The house chips were the best we have ever eaten.

Food was good. I had fried fish and hubby had turkey, avocado, cheese on cibatta. Everything was hot and fresh and service was relatively good considering they only had one person waiting tables and running the register. He was polite and appreciated our patience.

Food was okay, it’s not the best. The place is very old and had a weird smell to it. The service there though was great! I have never been to a place where the waiter/waitress was so nice and attentive. Right when we walked in we were greeted! So even though the food wasn’t so good, the customer service was awesome! Most restaurants in Kaufman need customer service like Chefs!

We had the taco salad and the mushroom swiss burger. The taco salad was very good, but the shell was a little under whelming. The burger was the absolute best burger I have ever had. The homemade potato chips were very good too. The atmosphere and decor was almost enough to cause us to walk out without even trying the food, but because it was so cold outside, we stayed. I’M GLAD WE DID! We will definitely be back.

Fried pickles, chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, fried pork chops, fried okra, mac and cheese. All were great! Large house margarita was awesome! Less than $60 for the three of us. Probably once a week go to, also Definitely throwing it into the when company comes place to go memory bank!

I give it high Marks because the food is pretty good. My wife had delicious pork chops, with green beans and mashed potatoes. Honestly, it tasted more like home style cooking than a restaurant. I had been missing Mexican food. To my surprise, the beef enchiladas and rise tasted so good it reminded me of a few Mexican restaurants in San Diego where we live. I used the restrooms, happy to report the mens room is spicy and span very clean. That to me is always a good sign. I recommend a cozy meal here. Ours was lunch.

Friendly service and home cookin’ tasty food. We have been there a several times now. Have had the pork chops (husband absolutely loved them), meat loaf, chicken fried steak, chopped steak, grilled catfish, fried fish, and a variety of sides. Everything we have had has been great. Love that they have a soup and salad bar (and ice cream) that you can choose as one of your sides with dinner. It is small but good, and as someone who likes salad bars, it nice to have one out here in Kaufman.
