Being at chefness bakery is definitely a highlight of my day. Not only is the food incredible but the service is great! The space is always clean, they constantly make sure you are situated well and content with your meal. Forever one of my favorite bakery’s to go to! If you haven’t been i recommend going 100%. Make sure to try out their pistachio croissant.

The newly revamped Chefness is quite impressive. The decor is beautiful, and the food looks delicious. However, after placing my takeout order, the cashier added a 15% tip without asking and hurriedly presented me with the receipt to sign. When I questioned this, she claimed it was store policy. I later contacted the manager and owner, who confirmed that this was not true. I’ve also heard that similar automatic tipping is happening with sit-down orders, with no clear disclosure. Fortunately, there are plenty of other great kosher bakeries where I won’t feel like I’m being taken advantage of.
Editing to add an update September 23rd: “Fortunately we have managed the problem” – no they have ignored my messages and I disputed the tip amount. No one has managed the situation – please don’t write that in your response please.
