Don’t come here if you’re expecting some fancy, new place with a cool atmosphere. People don’t come here for that, they come for some cheap, fast, good Chinese food. The building is old, the inside hasn’t been updated in over 10 years, but they have pretty good food. I heard the old owners sold it to new people since I last visited, but the stuff I like still taste the same. I come here because I really like their crab rangoons; it’s sweet, crispy, and delicious! I haven’t found another Chinese place that does it like that. I also come for the honey, ginger chicken. Another dish I haven’t found cooked the same way in other Chinese restaurants. Service is fast and the people are sweet. Food comes in good size portions and it’s not too expensive. I ordered a honey ginger chicken combo with 2 crab rangoons and white rice, a sweet and sour pork with fried rice and an egg roll, and a small wonton soup, and my total was $24. There is only one other option in Natchitoches for Chinese food, and I’ll always choose Chef Wok!

The Yelp! reviews were by far more accurate. I picked up dinner to enjoy in the hotel. We ordered the veggies with garlic sauce and Mama’s tofu. Both came in some weird oily, gelatinous sauce. It wasn’t edible and after a couple hours the sauce set thick like gelatin.

I drove miles and miles to get dispointed, Didn’t like the food, shrimp leomain was nasty ,no flavor no taste of Container full of pasta and some black sauce what about five or six shrimps and attitude was very nasty, I even trying calling them and tell I was not satisfied the lady fussing with me on the phone, what shrimp loemain doesn’t come with Tanya’s sweet peas and carrots all they gave me was noodles and a few hands and shrimp for $13

Called order in, 10-15 mins., was ready when we got there. We like Player Special, Shrimp Fried rice with garlic chicken lo mein on top. Hmm..,comes with set of egg rolls (ask for duck, red sauce, hot mustard too). Ordered 2 family size egg drop soups with fried noodles on side. This is enough for 2 of us. Had soup left for next day. (Still drive thru only which is fine.) Had movie night.

This is a well managed efficient Chinese food restaurant with unbeatable value. Their food is fresh, warm, and prepared quickly. The dining area is small but well arranged and has good service.Their take out window stays very busy also. It’s as close as it gets to a good restaurant, in Natchitoches, without the high prices other places impose. It doesn’t pretend to be fancy, and it’s not, but they take their food seriously and are generous with it. We have eaten here, or had their take out, on average once a week this year and it has been consistently good.

We never have a bad experience at Chef Wok. The hardest thing we have to contend with is their extensive menu and our appetites! Nothing I have ever gotten here has been anything less than amazing, but my absolute favorite meal is the honey ginger chicken. It’s spicy, but the flavors are phenomenal. The service is friendly and fast, and the portions are more than one person can handle! I always take home extra, and the price is better than you could imagine for the quantity AND quality. Easily the best place in Natchitoches for Chinese food.
