On my trip to Dallas I went to Chef Sun’s noodle and dumpling at their McKinney location. We made a reservation and they were very efficient with reminders. Service was very quick and the ambiance was nice and clean. Food came very fast. I ordered hot and sour soup which came on the cold side although it was steaming but not hot as soups should be. We chose all the spicy dishes which badly lacked any kick to it. The server asked us the level of spice and even after going for the highest level food wasn’t spicy at all. Chilli oil was not of typical taste. It had a kind of pickle taste because of the bay leaves. I ordered Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, fried dumplings, edamame, scallion pancake and fried rice. Overall food was ok not something that I will try again.

I just didn’t feel anything that we got was truly remarkable. For this place, it could very well just be my experience and opinion. I tend to be passionate about food opinions, but for this one I’ll say YMMV.

A nice place for lunch or dinner that is clean with good service. Food was fresh prepared as ordered. The hand pulled noodles were a little weird with flavor. There was a great selection of noodle dishes, entrees, and rice dishes. Family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were fair. Service was good. Ample parking. I’ll go back if I’m in the area.

Yesterday, we visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The team truly went above and beyond, from helping us with decorations to making sure everything was set up perfectly for the celebration. The food was warm, fresh, and incredibly delicious, and every dish was enjoyed by our group.
What really stood out was the top-notch customer service. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our visit. I highly recommend the McKinney location and will definitely be returning soon. Such a great place for special occasions!

Amazing place, absolutely delicious. The food was all good, LOVE the hand pulled noodle and it was really authentic. The service was fantastic, and the place is warm and cozy. Will definitely visit it again!!

Great service and relaxed classy atmosphere. They have the best Beef Noodle soup I’ve ever eaten.
I also appreciate that the dandan had fresh ingredients rather than tasting like artificial peanut butter. Everything was top tier.
