We’re driving through Kansas and stopped at Tallgrass National Preserve. Looking for a quick bite to eat on the way out of town, we found Chef Stan’s. The food is all homemade and delicious! The quiche (it was the Mediterranean quiche) is especially amazing!

This place is unique, one of the fine food experiences that are emerging across Kansas. Chef Stan is a Californian who fell in love with Kansas, and is doing some really cool cuisine. Only open on weekends (Thursday through Sunday) and only for brunch. Check his Facebook page to be sure that they will be open.

The drive to get here from Wichita is enjoyable. The food is worth the drive. We had the brie toast and gravy, salad, quiche, tomato soup, cheese sandwich and lemon tart. All were high quality and delicious. We will return.
