I like to go here a few times a month for the absolute tastiest omelette. I personally get the Florentine and I love it so much I rarely try anything else. It comes with hash browns and toast of your choice and is honestly the best omelette I’ve had anywhere. The Omelette is “overstuffed” and not dry. Not to mention if you love hot sauce with your omelette they have the best, Roadkill Roys… But this is so good it doesn’t need anything. Chef Shells can get pretty busy, but there is usually a table available. They have a very large assortment of fresh made donuts, delicious coffee and many soups, salads and sandwiches. It’s definitely worth a stop in if you’re in the area. They have early hours so plan accordingly. Also don’t be put off by the paid parking area if you need to park there because the first hour is free.

Absolutely love this place and intend to go back when I can. The donuts are freshly made and are absolutely beautiful when eaten. If I could marry a restaurant, I wouldn’t even ask this one to sign a prenup. Thank you, Chef Shell’s. You have made my life, which was once a complete dumpster fire, into slightly less of one. Person who took my order on the phone was fine. Getting there, everyone just acted too busy to care. I ordered French Onion soup and a Monte Cristo with onion rings. Now the soup, delicious (a little oily, but no big deal). The Monte Cristo MIGHT have been ok if there was any syrup and/or jam included, but there was not. It was very dry and not even dusted with powdered sugar…no sweetness at ALL. The onion rrings? Avoid those for sure. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. I’m not from the area, but have work that brings me here from time to time. I will not visit again.

I know it’s impossible to please everyone’s taste; but those of us who like filled donuts like filling in our donuts. I’m often getting very little filling in your donuts. Pump more jelly and custard in them bad boys and you’d have a 5 star donut.

We had booked Chef Shells for our wedding and the staff were great, communication was great and the servers were great as well. The only problem was the food. When we went for our tasting everything tasted amazing! But at our wedding the chicken was so dry with no flavor and was supposed to have a glaze over it. The cheesy potatos had no flavor or cheese really, and some of the brussel sprouts weren’t cooked all the way and were super hard and bland. We had a couple of our guests say something and as the bride and groom we were pretty bummed out ourselves However, The pulled pork, Mac and cheese, red skin potato salad and taco salad were good and I do highly recommend the doughnut shortcakes
