This was a fun quick stop. We ordered sushi and it was delicious. Our server was so much fun. We had great conversations with her. The ambiance was very relaxing and calming.

If I could rate this place more than 5 stars, I would. The service here is AMAZING. Don’t even get me started on the atmosphere, it’s not overcrowded but it’s still natural. The food is absolutely delicious, probably the best Asian food I’ve ever had. The workers are beyond friendly and really they made my day with how kind they are. 10/10, if you’re in town, this IS the place to go.

Chef Scott is the real deal Sushi Chef. His fish is fresh and always delicious. Wish there were more fish selections, but we are in a small town place. His sweet and sour shrimp plate is perfect. It comes with a large salad with a yummy ginger dressing, steamed rice, and corn. Service is fast, and all the team members are so friendly and helpful. Mostly take out, but there are a few small tables to eat in.

Our waitress was great. However not only did the foods like egg drop soup and chicken fried rice tasted like raw seafood. As well as we had ordered a hand roll with steamed shrimp, sweet egg, and cucumber but the only thing in said hand roll was just sweet egg. We had witness our sweet server get yelled at by a man behind the sushi counter. I hate that this place didn’t work out for us because it’s was a newer place we had not tried yet. Proceed with caution.

Had hoped for Hurley Hibachi, not no Hibachi table dinner… passed Koi to come here…. that was a mistake!
Food was mediocre at best. Yum yum sauce was gritty…. fillet mignon tasted like stew meat…. chicken was bland and full of gristle….. 120$ for dinner of four…. heck I felt better spending 50$ for four at Bucees!!! At least I was stuffed and it tasted good!
APPARENTLY THEIR SUSHI IS AMAZING BUT I WILL NEVER KNOW.

I’m not sure about the other rolls, but the one I had was the deep sea shell roll, which used to be called the wasabi shell roll, and the calamari. The roll was just as I remember it, and the calamari is the best around here, hands down. I’ve tried to find it when they were closed; trust me, you cannot find it anywhere else but at Chef Scott’s. Just know that it is an express place, so it’s not designed to be a dine-in restaurant. That’s not the experience you will get. Also, the food is served on paper plates and it’s BYOB, so just be aware that it is not a fancy dining experience. But the food is absolutely amazing and worth the experience.

This is the second time that I have eaten here, and I was not disappointed either time. I highly recommend trying the octopus salad. It’s absolutely amazing! Also the calamari is the best I’ve ever had. Last, but certainly not least, the sushi is some of the best on the gulf coast.
The first time I ate here, Chef Scott introduced himself to me and my SO after our meal, he gave us complimentary Blue Fin Tuna. Our experience here is one we’ll never forget!
