Wrong fries, but they were still delicious.
Been hearing about this spot ever since it opened by my fellow office mates, so I finally got around to checking it out and seeing if all their hype was matched.
Ordered over the phone going with the Richie Burger and the Sweet Potato Fries, total only came to a bit over $13, which feels like stealing in the current economic state of things. Quality was far superior than a greasy spoon dive or any of the chains nearby, so the meal was well above the asking price.
Back home I opened everything up to find suspiciously white sweet potato fries, and a taste test revealed I got the regular kind. Was disappointed and about to go a star down, but they were really good, very homemade style, crunchy and nonuniform, with a flavor that told me care was taken when frying them. The burger was next and that was just delightful. The secret sauce was sending it, the meat was juicy, and the cheese was just right. The onions were also a welcome addition, love me some good canalized onions. Thing was also so big the bun had trouble holding it all, what a deal!
Overall the location is just starting off and I hope it gets more business. The guy working was cool wearing a cowboy hat. And the meal was delicious, even if it was partly wrong. Which means 4.5 out of 5, but since google doesn’t do half stars, let’s call it a 5.

Amazing local halal food!! This area is lucky to have a restaurant like Chef Richie’s. I got the mixed platter over rice with a side of fries. I ate it too fast to take a picture lol. I placed an order for pickup and went in to get it but it wasn’t ready because he said the ticket didn’t print out. He offered to make it fresh and give me 30% off the order. He had it ready for me in about 5 minutes, as he cooked it right then and there. I objected to the refund because I like to support local and heard amazing things from my husband so I was happy to support him. Food was delicious and made very well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for good halal. I would come back again!!

Food was amazing!!!! This is our second time here, both times have been exceptional. It’s great to go to a place where myself (I’m vegan) and my husband who is not can both enjoy an amazing meal! The service was beyond wonderful, he took special care in adhering to my daughter’s allergen needs. Will definitely be back again!

Chef Richie is a great guy. We ordered burgers for our family of six and everyone loved them. My wife ordered the food before I looked at the menu, can’t wait to try some of his Halal dishes. So excited to see Ellsworth starting to fill out with some excellent businesses!

Accidentally put in an order at the Hudson location. When I showed up at the malta location, they were so nice about my mistake and made my order extremely fast. The wings were huge and amazing. The burgers have so much flavor and will definitely fill you up. Definitely one of the better burgers in this area.

I get a half hour lunch. Part of this is my fault but I was the only one in the place and I ordered a quesadilla. He didn’t start preparing it for like five minutes or more after I placed the order . he was Unloading produce, bread, maybe a truck had delivered some food. I don’t really know, But to me as somebody who family ran a deli business, that can wait. So I feel like I had to wait a little bit longer for my food and then I probably should have. I didn’t even get to eat it. I had to bring it home after my workday was done. I ordered the vegan quesadilla. It was $16 and change with tax. Which I thought it was a little pricey for a quesadilla because the other options, their prices were a little bit more reasonable. Quesadilla was grilled nicely. The tofu tasted good. The veggies were actually really good. I just wish that there was more veggies And less of that vegan cheese. All I tasted was the vegan cheese so honestly, it was not that enjoyable because of the cheese. But I will be back because I do think that the food deserves a second chance. And I will not go back on my lunch break I will order pick up.

Chef Richie’s is a great addition to Malta! We’ve tried the burgers, fries, and his quesadillas and everything is delicious at a great price point. I plan to come back to try more menu items and would highly recommend it!

I saw that this spot opened up today and decided to give it a try. I got a super well seasoned and cooked burger with crispy bacon, a fried egg, and the secret sauce which had a little kick to it. Good tomato and lettuce, too. Fries were crispy and salty which I’m a fan of. They’re waiting on some decor/wall menus to be delivered still, but service was great. Burger was a great value even before the store-opening discount. Will definitely be returning to try more!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! My wife and I stopped in the other night. She had an impossible burger with sweet potato fries, I had a regular burger with fries. They were some of the best burgers we have literally ever had. The guy running the place (I assume is Chef Richie himself?) is super nice, and I’m so happy to see this place finally open.
If you’re looking for a new place to eat, whether you eat meat or are vegetarian/vegan, this place is a MUST. So good.

We tried Chef Richie’s for the first time tonight and everything was delicious! We tried the Richie burger and the vegan cheesesteak and they were both amazing. The prices are pleasantly affordable too. So glad to have this new establishment in Malta!
