I don’t get it. The day I came in I ordered orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. The lady, possibly owner, made a statement that she’s working by herself. Made us wait for our order for 40 minutes just to give us what appeared recycle chicken that has been refried again and dumped a bunch of orange sauce on top. To top it off the very few pieces of honey walnut shrimps were on top of cut up head of lettuce. I didn’t pay for lettuce. I would have made a complaint but this lady was rude and can barely speaks English. Never again will I come back here.

Unhygienic and rude old lady.
Saw her dropped some freshly fried calamari on the floor and picked them up and packed them!
Last visit, she was cutting some fish while wearing gloves.
She just rinsed her hands still with the gloves on.
Guess what? My bag, calamari container and change were wet and smelled like fish!

Absolutely fire The house fried rice was spectacular—loaded with shrimp, pork, and chicken, not skimpy at all. Service was solid and fast, and on top of that… they have lemon pepper wings with alot of flavor best chinese food in San Jose hands doem

Not from here and a friend of mine recommended this place saying the food is delicious, it is indeed. Not disappointing. However, the old lady selling them was so RUDE!!!!! Originally, we ordered 3 small ones but they only accept cash. Having $55 on my hand, was thinking maybe I can order 2, since each pack cost $25. But the lady told us it would be $56 in total. So, I ended up having 1 pack. I explained that we are not from here and we didn’t know it’s only cash. She got frustrated and furious because of the fact that I changed my order. What the heck? It’s not my fault you guys don’t do cards. You don’t treat your customers like that just because we changed the number. We have every right to change it according to our liking and budget!!!!! HOW DISAPPOINTING.

Ordered in-person and got Combination Fried Rice, Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet, and Mongolian Beef. Their meats are very flavorful, but the Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet had no seasoning, so I would not recommend the dish.
Overall, I would order the meat dishes here, but not the fish.

I’ve been coming here with my family for years. This place is CASH ONLY. Their salt and pepper calamari is so crunchy. It’s addicting. We tried the salt and pork ribs are pretty good too.
Prices have definitely gone up. I think the salt and pepper calamari was about $26 but the container is petty full.
The place itself is small. You literally have enough space to just look at the menu and come back to pick up your order. The lady seems mean but she doesn’t play.

Most of the good comments on here is for San Jose location. That lasy up front is rude ngl. She needs to retire. I saw her pick up food from the floor with her gloves on and did not even wash her hands as she proceeded to prep food.

Its quite disappointing how the lady in the register is quite rude. She also uses the same gloves for counting money and preparing food. 🙁

This place is primarily known for its fried crispy calamari which is unique in that it stays crispy literally for days. It’s tasty, crunchy and quite addictive. My in-laws would buy a half tray and bring it on a flight to Asia and it would still be crispy after a 14 hour flight. I buy a small box for $26 and we eat it over 4-5 days and it stays crispy the entire time.
Regarding the service, if you’ve ever watched Seinfeld with the episode featuring the “Soup Nazi”, my wife and I jokingly refer to the Chef P’s lady as the “Squid Nazi”. Yes, she’s gruff. We just accept it knowing she’s like that to everyone and it’s not you specifically. Just expect that she’s like that and it isn’t a big deal because I haven’t found any place else that can make calamari like they do.
The place is CASH ONLY so bring your greenbacks.
Finally, make sure you seal up your calamari tightly in a zip lock or plastic bag or your car or luggage will smell like fried calamari.
