I had such a great experience at Chef Mediterranean! The food was absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the quality in every bite.
But what truly made our visit special was our server, David. David was attentive, kind, and so professional. He made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, and his warm personality made us feel genuinely welcomed. It’s rare to find service that makes you want to come back just as much as the food does!
Highly recommend asking for David when you visit you won’t be disappointed. Definitely coming back

Tried Chef Mediterranean in Cresskill, NJ. The food was hit or miss. Adana kebab was dry, chicken kebab very dry and not tender, though the doner/gyro was very good. The best dish was the stuffed cabbage with red sauce, though it wasn’t served hot. On the positive side, we really enjoyed the Turkish desserts, and the service was very good, friendly and attentive.
Unfortunately, the big downside was the flies—there were so many that it made the experience unpleasant. The food itself might have been a 3-star experience, but I’m taking off a star because of the flies. Definitely something that needs to be addressed.

I ordered the takeout from the Grubhub for the “HOOP5” deal, and to my surprise, the calamari was the best thing I’ve ever had. Would recommend it.
Update: dined in on the Mom’s day, friendly staff, good atmosphere and very clean bathroom. love the bread and food. One of the best kabobs that I’ve ever had. Would definitely come back for their lunch special in the weekday.

I ordered a chicken kebab with rice and vegetables, and unfortunately the rice seemed old, as if it had been prepared the day before. I am quite sensitive to stored food, and I am fairly certain it was not fresh.
I left feeling disappointed, as I truly value freshness and quality when dining out. Customers deserve meals that are properly prepared and fresh.
What makes this even more unfortunate is that the staff were very friendly, attentive, and professional. It’s a shame, because otherwise the experience could have been excellent.

Chef Mediterranean Restaurant in Cresskill was fantastic! Our server Zuzu was so kind and attentive. We enjoyed the manti dumplings, Adana kebab, and tavuk kebab—all delicious. The lunch special course came with lentil soup and included coffee or soda (we had both since there were two of us), and we also enjoyed a lovely cup of Turkish tea!!! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. This restaurant is always one of our top choices to go to, and we highly recommend it!

This was my second time eating here, and it is definitely one of the best döners in New Jersey. They serve ‘yaprak döner’ which reminds me of the Black Sea (Karadeniz) style. However, I think the prices are quite high compared to their competitors. $17 for a döner wrap feels a bit expensive, but the quality is definitely there
