Great lunch specials with generous portions. We got Kung Pao Chicken and Spicy Pepper Beef. For $2 you can add hot & sour soup which was great. The Beef was amongst the best I’ve had. Chicken was really good, but would try something different next time.

Pictured are Peking Style Shredded Pork In Soy Paste 京酱肉丝, pan fried dumplings, Chong Qing Spicy Crispy Chicken (Bone-In) 重庆辣子鸡 (带骨), and Beef Chow Fun 干炒牛河.

As a Taiwanese American who is from Chicago and has lived in San Francisco and the bay area, I whole heartedly recommend giving Chef Liu’s Kitchen a try. The seasoning on the peking style shredded pork, the preparation of the vegetables, and the delicate nature of the pancake made for one amazing bite after another. The dumplings were excellently pan fried with a wrapper that was not too thick. The Spicy Crispy Chicken had that addictive numbing flavor (they could have been a bit more spicy imo). And the Beef Chow Fun was perfectly velveted with a superb chew on the noodles. The balance between noodles, vegetables, and meat was also great which I think is often an issue with this dish at other restaurants.

We ordered one appetizer and three entrées, with the total bill around $74. The portions were very generous — enough for the two of us to take leftovers home and enjoy another meal!

The food tasted great, everything was well-seasoned and freshly made. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly.

Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely come back again. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious Chinese food with great value!

Went to Chef Liu’s Kitchen on Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed it. We ordered the combination beef in chili oil and the fish fillet in numbing chili oil—both were excellent: authentic, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with freshly cooked white rice. The restaurant has nice, newly decorated seating, and the staff were welcoming. We communicated with them in Mandarin, and they were very accommodating—when we requested the cilantro and green onion to be served separately from the main dish, they did it without hesitation, which was impressive. You can tell the food is authentically prepared, and it shows in the taste. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

Best Chinese / Sichuan food in Denver by a long shot. Delicious and flavorful while not being too spicy. Been 5 times and every dish is a standout.

Great prices and portion sizes! Very clean restaurant with nice ambiance!

I absolutely love this restaurant! Every single dish on the menu is incredibly delicious — full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and always fresh. I’ve been coming here every week because I can’t get enough of their food. The quality is consistent, the portions are great, and the flavors are truly authentic. If you’re craving amazing Chinese food, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

Phenomenal. We will be returning!!!! The eggplant is the best in the area. If you like Szechuan, you will fall in love. Stop reading reviews, get in your car, and go eat this incredible food from a father-daughter duo that are CRUSHING it.

This is the third time I have been here. It is SOOOOOO good! There is a reason that there are so many five star reviews. Also, I have been reading the other reviews, may want to take them with a grain of salt. A few of them stated that the service was bad. No it isn’t. I am calling BS on that. I have been waited on by the same one person every time I have been in. She is really sweet. Her Dad is normally at the Wok. I have only ever seen 2 people, so being a small shop can affect speed.

Also a few of the one star reviews look like they might be a nearby competitor engaging in a really cutthroat practice of trying to run out a new restaurant that gives legitimate competition. At least that is how they read to me.

Don’t be super hangry. Come with friends you enjoy passing the time with! Voila! No service issue.

Today I tried two selections from the chefs menu.

The Sliced Beef Combination in Chili Sauce and the Vegetable Delight. And I got a stand by favorite: Stir Fryed Pea Sprouts in.

Let’s start with the Sliced Beef. It is a little difficult to explain Sichuan Peppercorns if you have never had them. Probably one of the most accurate descriptions I have heard to date is that it is akin to ‘addictive battery acid’. This is a food you experience! The flavors play in your mouth like a symphony while the peppercorns deliver depth and surprise like symbols crashing together at that exact right moment! And the peppercorns aren’t overdone, they give just enough to excite your palate and make you want more.

In stark contrast the Vegetable Delight is well seasoned al dente vegetables that just taste like home. This is not a boring standard mix either! We have King Oyster Mushroom, Broccoli, Bell Peppers, Wood Ear Mushrooms (a.k.a. Black Fungus), Asparagus, and my personal favorite: Lotus Roots. And that green vegetable you can’t quite put your finger on to identify is Achoy Root! A new favorite veggie! This is a light, bright well executed dish that is very soft on the palate after all the excitement of the sichuan peppercorns.

The third dish I had today is the Pea Sprouts in garlic sauce. This is a humble green. Also done very well. You know the kids that don’t like peas? That was never me. I have always loved peas! I would eat other kids peas that they didn’t want. Imagine my delight upon discovering Stir Fryed Pea Greens! So good!
They’re Light, slightly crisp full bodied greens that give a satisfying chew! Pass the Pea Greens, please!!!!!!

Chef Liu has only been here a few months and I am so glad they’re here! The owners seem super nice too! It matters who cooks your food and the energy they impart to the work they do. This place is so clean energetically, iykyk.

Looking forward to over ordering and having leftovers for later for years to come!!!!

This place is declious! I tried the twice cooked pork belly and it was so good I got one to go to give it to my friend. We both want to go back to try the rest of the menu. I’ll be back every time I pass by!

Update: I went back and had the tendon dish. One of my all time favorite dishes and this one was incredible!

Update: back again! Can’t stay away from food this good. Tried the best orange chicken I’ve ever had! Found my new regular spot

Update: its hard to have a favorite when everything is so good but the Spicy Beef in Numbing Chili oil is a new favorite. I love spicy food but the numbing quality is done perfectly with superb textures to everything!

Update: I’ve tried about 1/4 of the menu and enjoyed it all. Chef Liu’s provided a to go order for 30-40 people and it was outstanding everyone enjoyed the food at the event!

Everything has been excellent! Highly recommend!

Update: they have a specials menu now and it is worth checking out! The beef knuckle was outstanding. I’ve been back to try the sesame shrimp too – one of the best, if not the best, shrimp dish I’ve had at a Chinese restaurant.

Update: the crispy calamari appetizer is outstanding! I’ve never had it prepared quite like this.

Update: I’ve been back so many times I’ve had about half the menu now. I have some favorites, but have not been disappointed! Working on the next half of the menu. Absolutely order the cucumber appetizer, I order it every time!

One of the more authentic Sichuan restaurants in Denver. Sick of all the American-styled Chinese restaurants around town, we are so relieved with this new find, and have already come several times. Favorites are the Chong Ching spicy chicken, and all the variations of numbing-spice beef and fish dishes. Keep up the good work, Chef Liu’s!
