Great experience and amazingly flavorful food!

Customer service was excellent and the staff/cooks were knowledgeable about their dishes and encouraged to try new items.

Adequate wait time was given and it did not delay.

The food was fresh and hot and delicious. Not salty or over seasoned but very flavorful.

It’s nice to have such admirable quality of service in hometown. Great representation of the city.

Highly recommended, will be back!

The food was delicious. This was on our must try in Detroit list and it didn’t disappoint. The guy working the counter was grumpy. Not friendly at all! If I wasn’t with my son I probably would’ve ran the heck out. It looks scary and smells like gas but the food is great.

It’s a bbq sauced sloppy joe with cheese. Love the grilled onions. Order it with extra cheese!

Chef Greg came out from the kitchen to help suggest items from the menu and convey his love for cooking. It helped make our first trip worth every penny and the drive. What a great man and better chef. You must try this lunch spot.

Pretty good.. peach cobbler (didn’t care too much for that or the cornbread because that wasnt sweet) chicken, black eyed peas and candy yams. I would come back and try some other stuff. The chicken was seasoned good and it was tender. For the price you would be full.

The Detroit Steak and Boogaloo were absolutely phenomenal! Cornbread was amazing as well. The gentleman who made our food was an absolute delight to meet and we can’t wait to make a return trip.
