I so enjoy eating here. And their take out is every bit as good! I tried something new (to me) today and really liked it. The Chef’s Chicken Special was very good! Fresh and excellently cooked. Huge pieces of mushrooms and zucchini with dark chicken meat in a brown sauce. Very tasty, indeed!

This has been our favorite Chinese restaurant that we’ve found. Great prices! Large portions! We could literally make a meal out of their egg rolls, absolutely delicious! We’ve searched for a good Chinese restaurant from Wisconsin Dells to Stevens Point. We found not just a good but an excellent Chinese restaurant in Waupaca! Great food, great service, great prices! All around top notch! Absolutely recommend.

03/26/25 – Fried wontons were very small. Crab Rangoons were ok, but not great. The General Tso was really good. They lost a star for not stating they have a 3% credit card surcharge on the first bill they brought to the table. Only shown after they run your card. Bad business practice.

Ive been coming here for a few years. The quality of food is on par for American Chinese food restaurants. BUT the cost in the last few years have drastically increased. And I noticed they don’t fill up their To Go containers according to the size you buy (pint or quart). And now I’ve noticed they charge more for vegetables for their plain fried rice? And their pork spare ribs are TERRIBLE. They are definitely NOT spare ribs and use some much leaner cut and don’t dress them to cover the fact they aren’t actual pork spare ribs. I spent 48.50 for carryout and was extremely disappointed. Truly not worth the cost for average Chinese food.

Convenient location. Great water feature outside. Inside it was dingy and dirty. We sat at a booth by the window and there was crusty food on the walls. The wallpaper was peeling off. The windowsills were dirty. Food prices reasonable. Service OK. The food was underwhelming, under seasoned. I expected better food from here because I have heard such good things. We probably won’t be going back.

Very friendly staff, asked our names, where we were from, and what brought us to town. We will definitely come back! I always love when my water is refilled without having to ask.

Food was complete garbage worst chinese I’ve ever had. It was low quality deep fried chicken and they just poured a sauce on and it was out in five minutes. Just slapped it together and threw it out the door. Nice people but the sesame chicken, general tsos and chicken and broccoli was horrible. Pick n saves sesame chicken from the deli was way better. Panda in wautoma is 1000 times better. I would never eat there again

Chef Chu’s is my favorite place to go for General Tso’s chicken. I absolutely love it! My wife’s favorite is the hot and sour soup, she always gets a quart or two to go.
