Very confused given they have a rating in the high 4s with door dash. The fried rice is mushy and all broken apart. I’ve also never seen fried rice that was 100% rice alone with nothing else in it. No egg, no peas, just rice with 0 flavor. I ordered the general tsao and orange chicken along with the fried rice. Both were inedible. The flavor of the sauces were fine but the outer layers of chicken were so hard it was like eating jerky. I could fathom a single dish of chicken being old or refried a couple times before. But both of them suggests to me it’s a practice and not an accident.

First time coming and I must say I will def come back next time I’m craving some sweet and sour chicken. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. It’s good to visit an establishment where you get politely greeted and receive top notch customer service. It’s a 31 min drive but so worth it.

The food here is great but the owners can’t keep a Rowlett health food score above the 70’s. I had a buddy who went in the back room of the place to work on their air conditioning system. He mentioned they literally had plastic tubs of beef and chicken sitting on the ground in the back room. How hard is it to store food in a proper manner these days?

We tried this place for dinner one evening. You go to the cashier towards the back of the restaurant to place your order. If you are eating in they will bring the food to your table. The portions here are huge. We usually like to share a plate. We ordered the Orange Chicken with Fried Rice and a bowl of Egg Drop Soup. The food was fantastic cooked to perfection. The Egg Drop Soup was very delicious. The employees are very helpful and friendly. We found the restaurant to be clean. We cannot wait to return.

If you are looking for a truly remarkable Chinese restaurant, then look no further. Each and everytime we have ordered from Chef Chen their dishes are delicious! Some of our favorites which are pictured below. Cathay Combo, which has a fantastic variety of chicken, beef, shrimp and veggies all in a flavorful brown sauce. General Tso’s chicken…crispy fried chicken in a wonderfully spicy sauce and last but not least chicken lettuce wraps… Minced chicken, water chestnuts accompanied with a wonderful dipping or pour on soy style sauce with generous portion of lettuce leaves to wrap the chicken. We have been going to Chef Chen for years and we have tried other places but NONE can compare. Casual, reasonable and always delicious!!!

Very delicious food and fast service. They cook it to order. Their orange chicken is delicious and they cook it differently than other places using orange peel. They also have delivery and take out. Their menu is quite big with many options. I highly recommend them.

Delicious food fast and fresh! 1st time eating in, but have ordered delivery multiple times. Didn’t disappoint. Had the beef and broccoli and had them make it spicy. Husband had the sweet and sour chicken and they made it spicy as well. A little warm inside, but what can you expect with the cook cooking it fresh!

Strip mall place that definitely takes pride in their food. Everything was piping hot and tasted good and fresh. We were 6 people and everyone was satisfied. Definitely a quality place with standard Chinese fare. Worth a stop!
