I hate to write this review but I am so disappointed in this café. I had high hopes for the foods because there were so many great reviews. We dined in on a Thursday night. The place was beautiful and upscale. The complimentary bread and butter was delicious. The kale salad was good but nothing special and was saturated in dressing. Although the nutty topping was good, the overwhelming amount of dressing took away from it. The entrées were disappointing. I got the chicken fried steak. The presentation was excellent and I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the salt in the breading or gravy was so overwhelming that I had to constantly gulp water after every bite. The promised jalapeño flavor was nonexistent. The potatoes were okay. There was so much breading on the steak that half of my bites were pure (salty) breading. My husband ordered the spicy Ceasar salad which he said was delicious and the special; glazed venison on a bed of asparagus, sweet potato and peppers. He said the venison was chewy. I sampled a bite and it was certainly unremarkable even covered in the glaze. The asparagus was delicious and cooked to perfection as well as the sweet potato. We originally were planning to order dessert, but after the underwhelming dinner, we opted to go somewhere else for dessert and coffee. I will say that the service was excellent. We had a good waiter and the atmosphere was relaxing. I enjoyed the fresh flowers and candlelit ambiance. I will not be back, simply because if I’m paying premium prices, I’d like the food to be delicious. I cannot eat ambiance and be satisfied.

A wonderful restaurant for a date or an evening out with a friend. I highly recommend the seafood tamales. They are sweet potato tamales in a bed of lobster, scallops, more seafood and seasoned vegetables. It’s all cooked to perfection and is a flavor explosion.

This was an all around great experience! The hostess was super nice, my server took care of me amd was so delightful and the food was out of this world.
I went on a Wednesday evening and they were not super busy, but I could see Thursday thru Sunday this place being packed.
I would highly recommend this place for a wonderful dining experience.

One of our new favorite spots in Tulsa, both the brunch and dinner is incredible! Our server Kenny was outstanding and so nice and funny and personable. We’ve already been multiple times since the Tulsa location opened and will keep coming back!

We had a wonderful girls’ night out with dinner and drinks. The Road to Hana cocktail brought a delightful spicy kick, while the martini was a timeless classic. I ordered the seared salmon, cooked to perfection with a beautiful balance of flavors. My friends enjoyed the short ribs, chicken-fried steak, and roast chicken—each dish looking as good as it tasted. Of course, I couldn’t resist snapping pictures of all our plates.

We decided to try brunch at Cheevers and it was a delightful experience! Our server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was upscale and comfortable and it was easy to have a nice conversation.
Our food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious!! We started with the Blue Cheese potato chips and this dish was yummy! A little pesto on top really added to the flavor. The chicken fried steak offered an elevated gravy on a bed of red potatoes. The chicken and waffles were scrumptious! The waffle was crispy and flavorful and the chicken had a spicy crunch that left you wanting more!
We are already planning our next visit so we can try some of their specialty drinks and their regular menu. You should definitely try this restaurant!

Cheever’s never disappoints. The shrimp and grits were rich, creamy, and packed with flavor—Southern comfort at its finest. The chicken enchiladas were equally impressive, with just the right balance of spice and freshness. The star of the show? The Preservation cocktail. A flawless meal from start to finish.

Tried Cheevers for the first time. Had a party of 6 with plenty of room at the table. Nice not to be squished at a small table. Our server was attentive and informative. Made some good recommendations. The chicken strudel appetizer was very good. My meal was the short ribs and it was not good. The meat was tough and dry..more like roast beef than a short rib. The brussel sprouts with it were super delicious. The potatoes were okay, nothing spectacular. (For jalapeno in the title they could use more heat). Several people had the chicken fried steak and said it was very good. The best part of the entire meal was the coconut cream pie for dessert. I’d go there just for that pie! Overall, the meal was good. I would order a different meal next time but would return. Drinks were tasty as well!

They were full of reservations but the bar was open. We had a very enjoyable experience with our bar tender she made the most beautiful drinks while we ate. The almost famous with passion fruit and edible flowers were the best. For food I had a cup of tortilla soup and chicken verde enchiladas. He had a chicken and rice with yellow curry soup and his entree was the chicken fried steak. Everything was flavorful and balanced. I’d suggest making a reservation but know the bar provided a wonderful experience too. The atmosphere was welcoming and classy.

Birthday dinner at Cheever’s was a hit!
My son and hubby took me to celebrate, and it couldn’t have been better—amazing service, cozy atmosphere, and every bite was delicious. We loved the queso appetizer, and my chicken fried steak was massive (and amazing). Hubby’s pasta and my son’s shrimp & grits were also spot on. They even brought out a big slice of chocolate cake with a candle—so special! Highly recommend for any celebration.
