Cheese Wheel Pasta & Pizza — a warm and authentic Italian dining experience in the heart of Clearwater, Florida. Our kitchen is rooted in the timeless traditions of southern Italy, we specialize in fresh, home-made pasta prepared daily with love and simplicity, just like Nonna used to make. The cheese wheel pasta, sometimes called “pasta Alla Ruota,” is a dish that mixes steaming hot cooked pasta in a hollowed cheese wheel. At the heart of our menu is our Neapolitan pizza, baked in a high-temperature stone oven to achieve the perfect charred crust, soft center, and smoky flavor. Made with imported 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella, our pizzas are a tribute.

It was all phenomenal. No complaints. Staff were amazing! Maybe the only complaint was that the tables are too small, especially to fit so much food
But out of the 10 of us and all of these dishes, everyone was VERY happy about the food saying each dish tried was done well
From the very first bite of warm, herbed bread dipped in fragrant olive oil, this meal was pure comfort and quality. The oil was rich and aromatic, soaking perfectly into the soft, airy bread, a simple start that already felt special.
Then came the fresh pasta, tossed right inside a giant wheel of cheese . Each ribbon was silky, coated in a creamy, delicate sauce that melted on the tongue, with just a sprinkle of cracked pepper to bring it all together. You could taste the freshness and care in every bite.
The pizza was a showstopper !! blistered, golden crust with that authentic wood-fired flavor, topped with velvety mortadella, and fresh basil GROWN IN THE GARDEN. Every slice had the perfect balance of crisp edges and soft center.
And the shrimp? A standout on its own. Perfectly seared, juicy, and kissed with seasoning, finished with a balsamic drizzle and paired with a bright marinara dip. The combination was sweet, smoky, and refreshing all at once.
From presentation to flavor, everything felt handcrafted, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. A dining experience that proves simplicity done right can still feel magical. We ate outside it was beautiful out, the herb garden is there so you get to see what you’re eating as well.
YOU MUST GO – extremely fairly priced. We will be back.
The only downside (which is totally out of their control) is that they don’t have their liquor license yet, simply because of how long the process takes in Florida.
