Perfect day for comfort food. I stopped in for a soup and sandwich but they only had tomato soup, which I’m not a fan of. Brady encouraged me to try it and gave me a sample. It wascreamy, with herbs and parmesan, and absolutely delicious for dipping my bacon grilled cheeseinto. And Brady delivered it to my table. And- their lemonade is made with maple syrup! So glad I stopped in and tried something new!.

Very Friendly stuff, Josh was our guy. Cute atmosphere. Basic selection sandwiches, the least tasty grill cheese I had so far. Worth visiting if you are passing by Portsmouth area. Super overpriced. I wouldn’t go back.

While visiting the city, I came across Cheese Louise by pure chance — and what an incredible find! I arrived just a minute before closing, yet the staff welcomed me with genuine kindness and didn’t hesitate to serve me. She prepared a succulent sandwich and a comforting tomato soup that completely hit the spot. The food was absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the amazing customer service — friendly, patient, and truly above and beyond.
I’m genuinely amazed by the experience and will definitely be coming back just for that combination of great food and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city!

The food was so delicious!! The restaurant is trendy and cute. Brady was super helpful and explained the menu and pointed out some of his favorites. Service was very quick. 10/10 would recommend!! We got the the Godmother with chicken and the five dollar margaritas.

I absolutely love Cheese Louise! My roommate and I have been coming here for two years now and it never disappoints. My go to sandwich is usually the godmother, but today I tried the October special – the Canadian. This sandwich was SO GOOD. The flavors are unique and blend together so well. I could eat 10 more and still love it. The service at cheese Louise is always a 10/10. Their team is always so friendly and nice and ready to help with anything you need. One of my favorite places in Portsmouth for sure.

Awesome grilled cheese and chips/fries. Highly recommend The Canadian and The Baconator Garlic Parmesan fries were as were the house fries and the secret sauce. Don’t sleep on the Big Kid Lemonade. Josh took GREAT care of us. Great local business.

Always delicious. Always friendly. Always very well priced for the quality of the food. Super disappointed no one but us was obsessed with the pickles, but maybe someday they’ll come back. It’s the perfect place to celebrate building a new skateboard or just stopping by for the best grilled cheese in New Hampshire.

First time here today! And I don’t know why I haven’t been here before. Rowan and Brady were super friendly, and Brady made a pretty mean grilled cheese. I got the Vermonter and upgraded for a cup of soup and it was so cozy and perfect will be back!
