I just had the best cuban sandwich of my life, courtesy of this restaurant. The owner made the sandwich and joked to my wife that he was hungry when he made it and accidentally made it too big. Well, i enjoy a challenge so i stepped up and ate the entire thing. Wow. So good. Definitely going back soon. Highly recommended.

I have ordered boxed lunches from Cheese & Crackers now a few times for UIUC events and have received all good feedback. The options are great, willing to work around any dietary needs, and very friendly staff. Met the owner yesterday as he delivered my order and helped set it all up. Will definitely order from them again.

Seafood in Champaign are expensive. That’s true. However, seafood price in this are reasonable if you check their quality and freshness. I like their sushi grade tuna and salmon, and oysters.

I can’t express what a delightful suprise and joy it was to not only track down sushi grade fish to make for my daughters prom but finding a treasure like this made my day. The quality alone of the fish was spectacular. The man who came out to answer a question cut the fish into small sushi slices for me recommended even better fish. Had sound advice and guidance for preparation. The tools i needed were there and he even told me sushi sheets to save me a trip. On the way out i purchased little chocolates that were a dream. Great prices friendly service amazing quality sushi grade fish for a little place called cheese and crackers which they have a great selection for as well.

This place came highly recommended but just didn’t live up to the hype for us. We got the sweet and Smokey which was a unique sandwich but overly sweet. It needed an acid balance like Dijon or something. we also got the Cuban which is traditionally served with two types of pork and this was just deli meat. It was better than the sweet and Smokey in our opinion. There was also a 15 minute wait but the store is so small it is uncomfortable to wait. Overall, we found it to be very expensive for what one receives with not a very enjoyable atmosphere. We could have eaten in a restaurant with service for the same price. I’m glad this place has a strong following but it wasnt for us.
