Had an absolutely amazing experience here. Used to frequent the bar many years ago, the glow up is real! Everything about the bar is much cleaner than it used to be. Cozy environment, friendly staff, quick service and great drinks! Would highly recommend going if you are looking for a low-key relaxed vibe. They also do karaoke too on Friday nights!

This hotel is rustic feeling and more unique then your run of the mill hotels with older furniture pieces. Perhaps a bit of a remodel or upgrade should be considered but for what you pay for this isn’t a great place to stay. It was cleaned well and no bad smells, except that as I was passing one room smelled like there were people smoking in it but that isn’t their policy so not the hotels fault. The pool is fun for the kids. Billiard table and few other games available but you have to use coins to activate it.
The only complaint I would give is the breakfast is less than desirable, toast cereal and waffles being basically the only options, and the first time we stayed there was no milk for the cereal, so the second time around we just planned for a different breakfast. But still worth the stay for what we payed for during the Christmas/New Year season, just something to consider.
The staff were also nice, and if we travel this area again we would definitely be staying here again.

Went in for open mic night to enjoy some live music and drinks! The service Amy gave us was great and Josh Marquis (and all participants) put on an awesome show!

I walked in and walked out immediately. I wouldn’t call it a casino, they have like 3 slot machines and the rest are the quarter ones. The bar is creepy.

Went for karaoke night and had a blast!! Everyone was so kind. The DJ was really good he and the staff Made everyone feel welcomed. I’ve always wanted to go to cheers and they made me feel like everyone knew my name.

Bar/Casino that is attached to the Grand Gateway Hotel. Low light classic looking bar. Slots on one wall. We stayed in the hotel, and in every elevator there was a placard stating the nightly food offerings in Cheers. We were tired on Friday night and was going to just eat the pulled pork there. We get to the bar, and the barman told us that they did not serve food. And that the signs were wrong. But there is a Perkins next door.
He was very nice, and offered to fix us drinks .. but we were looking for food.

The ladies bartending were fantastic! So fun to be around! Low key and quiet when we went on a Friday evening. No actual food there (it’s attached to Perkins) but they had some yummy snacks. Even the carrot cake with raisins

7 months later update:
This one sentence review apparently really hurt the feelings of the guy running security. After an attempt at a parley, understanding, and moving on, said individual doubled down on previous slader, lies, and attempts at character assassination.
And, don’t be fooled by all the talk of new ownership on social media. It’s the same people running things. They tried to say they were under new ownership two years ago and it was a fib then as well.
You can’t lie about your customers being racist or saying racist slurs who didn’t and aren’t. Especially after your over served patrons physically attacked my wife on camera. This place is lucky an additional lawsuit hasn’t been filled. If that is what it takes to get a look at fake evidence that doesn’t exist, then the new ownership has no clue the quagmire they are still in. If there are new owners at all they would fire a few folks ASAP
Very disappointed. My nobody advice: stear clear of this place, it is still spiraling – save a few bright souls the place would be borded up like the Perkins is already.
Ya just can’t trust the word of one who would lie to cover up their own incompatance. We still won’t be back until new owners clean up the problems they allegedly bought.

Day 3K
Great place for a fun night karaoke drinks and a meal right after with Perkins connected. Love this place and this is not my usual idea for fun and drinks. Not to mention a hotel next door.
