I love their new remodel! So happy they are back open! My favorite is the egg drop soup, beef broccoli, crab Lagoon, and chicken fried rice. They stop taking orders about a half hour before close, sometimes up to an hour if they are too busy!!

Dang it, I thought I found a good Chinese takeout place. First visit: great food, huge portions, wrong food, not what ordered. Second visit: great food, huge portions, order wrong again. Third call was told: “We’re too busy to take your order, if you call back in 40 minutes to an hour, we might be able to take your order” Fourth Visit: huge portions, order was correct. Beef was inedible, like chewing it for a whole minute then spit out half of it because it was so tough. But that’s not the issue, I can deal with cheap beef. The problem was that the meal tasted like it had been made with swamp water, or funky old dish water. It was disgusting, it turns my stomach just trying to figure out what had been done to my food to make it taste that bad. I could never return to a place that served a fresh made meal that tasted like swamp water. Great portion sizes though.

Very nice since the remodel inside. Girl was very nice & helpful with our order. Soup, crab lagoons, egg rolls were good. Main dish, beef w/ vegetables average, meat was rather gristly & chewy, not good at all!!!!!!! Very pricey for the portions, not to sure if we’ll return.

Chee Peng is a quality small town restaurant, the staff is well mannered and friendly. Food here has always been of good quality. the dinner itself is dated and ready for a revamp imo. The bathroom need to most attention for remodeling. The crab lagoons are the best I’ve ever had. Bring yourself or your family.

Chee Peng is a family owned restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. They work hard, long hours and I heartily recommend them. Spouse says they are an oasis of fone cuisine in the wasteland of Micky D’s and DQ.

The Inside of this place is disgusting. Water damage to ceiling and mold growing. Table was covered with cheap vinyl and underneath was filthy (see attached pics). It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.

Service: Our waitress was friendly, however somewhat inattentive. My daughter and I were the only patrons in the restaurant and she spilled some water, it was almost 15 minutes before the waitress came back so I could ask for napkins.

Food: egg drop soup was over salted and had almost no veggies in it, but tasted okay.

The “general chicken” was overly sweet and had very little heat. The chicken was mushy and underdone. I have had general chicken many many times in my life, and I LOVE it, This was the worst I’ve ever had. I had to smother it in sweet and sour sauce to eat it.

I traveled almost 30 miles to try this place because of the great reviews. I was severely disappointed – please read these reviews with a grain of salt. I was hoping to find a diamond in the rough but this place is not worth your time. You will get better Chinese food from a mall food court or an airport 🙁

I have had good and bad experiences here. If you don’t order by 4 pm, good luck with getting food. They are extremely slow and almost never answer their phone. The inside of the restaurant is filthy. I can not believe they can pass a health inspection. I try to support small businesses, but this restaurant will be its own downfall. You have to take orders to stay in businesses. Also, the young lady at the register is rude and appears strung out. I am done trying to get mediocre food and waiting 2 hours for them to prepare it. Unbelievable.
