Very relaxed restaurant. The restaurant is kept clean and organized. Had extra seating for events. Wish the wings were bigger and more spicy with homemade ranch dressing, overall was a great experience. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a quick meal. Hope you enjoy ☺️

Perfect casual dinner spot! We stopped here instead of a quick bite at Sheetz on a four hour drive and it did not disappoint. Our table was a little small which made ordering appetizers and sides a little difficult, but the fried pickle spears are a great start! The broccoli and cheddar soup was delicious and had nice chunks of broccoli. I ordered the beer battered cod- it’s perfect coating and tartar sauce was a superb ending to the meal- highly recommend! Their salad was a little lacking- cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce and halved cherry tomatoes are what to expect. The burgers are also good, with a lot of options to find the burger you’re craving.

Checker’s Grill is a great local spot that really hits the spot after a long day — especially after doing the 1,000 Steps hike! My cousin and I stopped here after our hike, and it was exactly what we needed. The food was delicious, freshly made, and served in generous portions that filled us up without breaking the bank.
The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get, and everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with that small-town charm that makes you feel welcome right away. The staff were polite and quick with our order, which made the experience even better.

6/22/25 Decided to give them another shot. Great service this time, great food, more than enough to eat. I reccomend the delicious chipped beef n gravy over hashbrowns. Was only $6.50. Wife’s breakfast was $7.00: 2eggs 2 toast 3 bacon n a pile of homefries.
9/29/24 Walked in Sunday morning for breakfast n seated ourselves. Waitress walked past us, never said a word n waited on a nearby table. Wife turned and looked at her, making eye contact to ensure she knew we were waiting. Meanwhile a couple walks in, says hi to waitress. Waitress finishes taking order from the table she was at and goes straight to the couple and waits on them instead of us.
Wife n I put up with this being overlooked twice before and let it go but this is the third n last time. We left n will not be back. Your seat urself policy doesnt work.
8/24/24. Had an Italian melt on focaccia. Was pretty good. Nice amount of meat. Service was good.
2023 Food is great. Hot n fresh n they dont skimp on the portions. Service seems a bit staggered but was still speedy.

Really great experience!! We showed up (5 of us) without realizing that they closed in 20 mins! Not once did they ever mention it. We got friendly attentive service, and delicious food! We were even offered dessert! Not to mention, VERY reasonable prices. Thanks for the great lunch!!

Has had so much good to say about this place that I decided today to get lunch from them. I place my order as call in because I don’t have much time ony lunch break. I placed my order of 1 BBQ bacon Berger with fries and one hot roast beef with mash potatoes at 11:37 am. I was told 20 min on the phone I arrived at 12:07 giving them an extra 10 mins than what they quoted knowing it was busy because of lunch time. I stood there for several mins before anyone even acknowledged me and then was told they didn’t have my order. I told her that It was placed over the phone at 11:37 she then said it wasn’t ready yet. I wait another 20 mins and still no food. So I asked a man that was putting clean dishes way to check the status of my order and let me know how long it would be. He comes out with my food. It was only warm not fresh hot so it had clearly been sitting in the back. I paid and left only to they didn’t even provide plastic ware for me to eat my roast beef and mashed potatoes. This was my first and last time ever coming her….. I’d also like to add that the first lady had a horrible attitude and was only worried about her table and tips and stood there talking about how good she was gonna nap after work… When she should have been taking care of the guest in front of her. I did not tip. And do not feel guilty for it…..
Updated to add the burger had no flavor and the fires were hard. Same with the roast beef and the potatoes … Very disappointed. Seems the only reason they are doing well is lack of other options in the area

The food is great here. We have eaten here twice. The food always comes out hot. The wings were crispy and lots of seasoning. My wife had a burger and it was great. The mozzarella sticks are really good as well. The fries are crispy. The desserts were good as well. The wait staff was kind and prompt. Highly suggest eating here if you get a chance!

A classic mom/pop style diner. Prices are way better than expected, hot, and made right. I do recommend this place. The lasagna pie was really nice. Free parking, but when busy, tight to find a spot, but worth it.
