As the leaders in drive-thru for over 30 years Checkers & Rally’s locations are currently open and ready to serve our guests. We can provide our guests with the additional safety of an enclosed kitchen and limited personal contact – whether you choose to drive up, order ahead online, or have our food delivered. In response to concerns around the Coronavirus we have closed the few dining rooms that exist in the Checkers & Rally’s system and are limiting the number of people on our patio and at our walk-up windows. We are reinforcing our policies, including frequent and proper handwashing, along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves as we continue to serve our guests.

Order the number three with triple meat and an extra regular loaded fries.
Instead received a loaded fry with a two Patty burger and when questioned where my other set of freeze the worker began raising her voice at me as an attempt for me to understand.
I’m not sure when a combo doesn’t come with set of fries I didn’t ask for them to upsize my other order and I don’t appreciate being charged $18 and not getting what I asked for.
I don’t have an accent I speak American so for her to raise her voice instead of clearly give me understanding as to what changed is the problem I have with this food chain

Not worth the wait. Ordered a Garlic Chicken sandwich. Went through 1 line to order then had to loop around and get in another line to pick up my order. When I went to the pickup window after waiting almost 10 minutes in line, the counter staff just looked at me and didn’t know what I was picking up. After I told her, then they started fixing the order. Chicken was luke warm and the fries (which are usually good at other locations) were cold and limp. Will not be back to this location. Just not worth the almost 20 minute wait.

I would never return to this establishment under any circumstances. While the lady at the window was pleasant and hospitable, the food was subpar. I requested that my food be cooked to order. After a considerable wait, I was instructed to move to the next window. Despite my courteous request, my food arrived cold and soggy, rendering it inedible. I promptly retrieved my food from the window and resolved never to return.

I went here for a late night pregnancy craving. I didn’t mind waiting for fresh food. However, it tastes like they have never changed the oil. I was also left with a strange aspirin like after taste. Food safety is important to me.

The Checkers and Rally’s in South Lakeland is easily one of the best fast food spots around. The food was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked — the fries were crispy and the burgers were juicy and flavorful. The place was clean and well-kept, and Madison provided amazing customer service with a friendly attitude and quick service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Shamaria at the Checkers on Florida Ave! She was so sweet and friendly, especially with my two kids. You can tell she really cares about her customers. The food was fresh and came out fast too. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had at a Checkers!

This is the worst checkers in Lakeland, not even joking. There’s literally always a problem when I go here and I’ve had enough and will not be returning. The drive-thru times are outrageous, but it’s because of the people inside! Every time I go there, the employees are always playing and talking instead of making food, I ordered a burger with ketchup and mustard only and they out lettuce, mayo and onions on it, realize they messed up and literally scraped it off the bun and left lettuce, and mayo all over the wrapper and it was still onions on the sandwich! The employees are always in there playing loud music and dancing, and that’s the days that they aren’t arguing in the window, you’d think with the automated system they wouldn’t have anything to argue about and be more accurate when making sandwiches, but that’s no help at all for them. On top of that 2 days ago I ordered a cherry coke, it was completely clear in the cup, the drive thru person still served it to me despite it not having any syrup in it, go again tonight and ordered the same drink and the lady in the window dropped the whole drink on me and in my car, although it was accidental, she was talking so much that she didn’t check to see if the lid was on before she handed the drink out the window. This is a constant issue with the employees, they’re not being attentive at all, they all look unhappy to be there, there’s a white guy with tattoos on his face that walks around the building smoking weed, another manager that didn’t even greet me when I came to the window. This location is the worst, and these problems are the tip of the iceberg, I’d be here all day if I listed the rest of the issues I’ve dealt with throughout 2025 with this location. It’s time for a revamp, they need all new employees and retraining about courtesy and customer service and possibly new ownership.

Why does the food taste way different than any other checkers? The meat is trash. Food is always cold. They’re using cold brioche bread. The hamburger patty tasted like it was made this morning. They remolded the outside but the service is wack.

What a waste of $40. Most of my food went in the trash. The wings were for sure cooked twice. My mother cruncher was also double cooked. The chicken was dry and rubbery. The fries were super burnt.
I’d love to return the food to the restaurant but the lady that handed me my food had a terrible attitude while just handing me my food. She didn’t even give me a chance to grab a hold of my food and turned away and closed the window. I wasn’t even sure if that was it. She just turned away.

First time visiting this location but really wanted to try their new Fry Seasoned Chicken Tenders. So yummy! They were crispy but not too crunchy and very yummy. Love their fries so figured I’d love these, and I was right. Employees were friendly as well and service speed was wonderful!
