Well I wanted to like the food I stopped at around 1230 am not many cars or customers I was only going to get fries and I should have stayed with that decision!! I did ask do you make burgers fresh to order meaning off the grill the cashier said no we have them already made up !! I should have said no thank you but I decided to give the Buford Burger a try buy one get one for a $1 it came out sloppy withered lettuce and tomatoes PICKLES onions sloppy Nothing like the sign in the parking lot ..When I order a burger I expect it to be better than I could make at home..Please don’t give people food that is not good Quality I had this food Requested to be made twice and twice this Restaurant disappointed me in one night ..I want be returning.

The employees here are always friendly, but unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired. It often comes out cold right from the start, and the fries are usually soft and stale instead of crisp. The AI drive-thru system is also frustrating—you have to speak slowly and wait between responses, otherwise your order gets messed up. The main upside is that it’s one of the few affordable spots open late, which is really convenient.

Decent food and prices were not expensive. However despite ordering through the mobile app 30 mins- 1 hr before and somehow I always still had to wait for 10-15 minutes before the food is ready (even for small order). Strawberry ice cream is always tasty and they have the best fast food french fries! The app also often have discounts and promos.

Im sad. I used to live in Georgia and Checkers was my go to spot. Imagine my excitement when I realized there was one here in Durham. I ordered though ubereats and waited patiently. Well I took one bite out of my burger and seen pure pink meat. I was discussed and angry and sad at the same time . There is no reason for fiod to be undercooked. They have specific settings and times that the food are supposed to cook so its ridiculous. Not only was it my burger it was my husbands as well. Smh. GUESS I CAN MARK THEM OFF OF THE LIST OF PLACES I ACTUALLY LIKE … SO SAD

I love checkers. The food is great and comes fast. My biggest gripe is it seems sometimes with drive thru the food is not the same quality as if I walk up.
My biggest complaint though is the rewards program. They over advertise it in everything they put out but yet when there in person they know nothing about it. There needs to be some training for the staff on rewards and coupon redemption because u literally have been told by an employee they don’t do rewards there and I was just trying to add it to the transaction to get credit for a large order.
Another ring they said the coupon won’t work and I need to do it through the app and I literally saw the coupon on my account in the register screen.
Please train your employees on this stuff. This has happened nearly every visit and it is unacceptable seeing how much advertising you all do for it to people. It doesn’t make sense to push people to sign up for something your employees don’t understand.
If you don’t believe me do a test on your employees and pretend to be a customer and see how they handle reward accounts. You will be shocked

Sucks…ordered a single burger with cheese, mustard and pickle only. Through your annoying AI system. Well AI got it right on the receipt but the humans making it decided to put ketchup on it. Yuck, thanks can’t eat now. Nope didnt waste my time going back to get it corrected…for me.it means you don’t want me.as a customer. We have swim meets all year near this location…we won’t be eating there again.

The food was extremely fresh. However, you had to wait a very long time for them to cook it. I did not eat the mozzarella sticks because they were too soggy because of the grease. The burger was good and the loaded cheese fries were as expected.

As the sign says…..New team new service. I was in the area and was craving some Checker’s. I saw the sign and stopped to give Checkers a try.
Ordered some garlic parm wings and fries with a strawberry drink. I had to get some funnel cake fries to top off the experience.
My only complaint is shouldn’t there be a dipping sauce for the funnel cake fries. Food was hot and given to me in a couple of minutes.
Food was good for fast food. Definitely will be back.
