Ive always love checkers since I was a kid and this location has always been a favor for people around here. There’s a large outdoor sitting area. That’s nice for lunch during the summer. Every time I go here, no matter what time of day the staff is always extremely friendly and put out the food quick too. You also have to try the fries !

I was pretty excited to stop by, since I grew up purchasing their fries from the store. They did not disappoint! The entire place is so cool looking from the inside to the outside. The employees were great with my order, and were quick to get it out. (I had customizations and they were patient with me to get my order correct.) The food was awesome, its so much better to have what they make, fresh! I got a “Big buford” and the bun was so soft and fresh the whole thing was delicious. I am definitely coming back here, and bringing some friends!!

Every time I come to this place I wait online in the drive threw for like a minimum of 15 minutes after ordering. The last two times I had NO one in front of me when I arrived and I still waited 20 minutes. I could’ve ordered a pizza and got it in less time. Besides that the food is usually good and you get a ton of it for not too much money.

I hate to give a bad review since Checkers is just about my favorite fast food spot and a bunch of them closed recently but they are dishonest.
This is the half pound chicken bites box. I’ve ordered this a couple times before and every time I’ve been unpleasantly surprised by how little chicken I got so this time I actually brought it home and weighed it. Lo and behold, the amount of chicken is nearly 50% less than what it is supposed to be. It’s supposed to be 8 oz of chicken and they give a little more than 4.
Given the premium prices Checkers is charging, this is really not acceptable. I don’t know if or when I will be back even though, for fast food, the food itself is pretty good and they’re open late.

Checkers in Lake Ronkonkoma is hands down one of my favorite fast-food spots! I recently stopped by and was blown away by how good everything was. The Big Buford and Baconzilla burgers were absolutely massive and packed with flavor, and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich had the perfect kick. Their seasoned fries are addictively good, and I can’t recommend finishing your meal without a cheesecake sundae—it’s the perfect sweet ending.
The staff here is super friendly, and I even noticed them being really kind to dogs, which is such a nice touch if you’re bringing your pet. The restaurant itself feels clean, modern, and welcoming, and the hours are super convenient—open from 10:30 AM to 2:00 AM so it’s perfect for late-night cravings.
After their recent renovations, this location really stands out. Everything feels fresh, well-maintained, and efficient. I left feeling completely satisfied, and I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. If you’re in Lake Ronkonkoma and love bold, delicious fast food, this Checkers is a must-visit!

I don’t like to post reviews, but this is by far the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The patty is extremely flat, to the point where is was more like chewy cardboard than any resemblance of chicken. The soda was just as flat as the chicken and hot like it was out in the sun all day. I will never be coming back here, but if you like cardboard I guess this is the place for you.

I wish they still had the BLT. The seasoned fries are tasty. All the sandwiches are nice. Hot dogs are good too. Haven’t tried the fish sandwich yet. The sandwich with sourdough bread is really good too.

Not gonna lie, I was initially skeptical walking into this place. But the food was surprisingly delicious and properly cooked!
And the customer service was excellent too.
Although, the bread on my bbq brisket sandwich wasn’t toasted as shown on the website. And the inside either has no A/C or the A/C is broken, which isn’t great during a heatwave. Regardless, I’d still be willing to come back to order again here.
