Cheba Hut is a toasted sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998. Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries. We strive to be your go to late night food stop. What really sets Cheba Hut apart, though, can only be experienced in our shops. We combine homegrown food with real people in a relaxed environment. Escape the established.

We were here for the weekend and decided to try something different. We saw good Google reviews so we stopped in.
I had the KGB sandwich with roast beef and horseradish. It was very good. My wife also liked her sandwich.
Service was professional and courteous.
Atmosphere was full of colorful artwork. If you’re not bothered by depictions of joints, weed, marijuana, etc, it’s an entertaining place to eat.

We ordered inside for to-go at approximately 1600 on 28 Feb and it was our best visit yet, thanks to the very friendly ladies that welcomed us and especially the one from whom we ordered. We went back up to order treats before heading out with our order ’cause we couldn’t resist those crispies, and she was the sweetest ever. Our subs, The Kind and G-13, were perfectly delicious, the pretzel nugs were even better than usual (how?!), and the treats were exactly what we’d hoped. WE LOVE CHEBA!!
Our dinner pick-up on 6 Feb was awesome as always – delicious and made well sandwiches and pretzel nugs, and a friendly face at the counter. We can’t get enough Cheba Hut!
Another pickup dinner order for 17 Jan; he wasn’t a fan of his White Widow sub (too bland for him), but I had the Midwest Best again and it was perfect again. They gave us Sour Cream & Onion chips when we’d ordered Salt & Vinegar, so either they substituted or it was an error like our drink last time. Either way, still love the Cheba and will still be back! Hopefully not so soon next time, ’cause it’s starting to look as though we’re addicted. 😉 Awesome cashier that night, too! Probably the best one yet, honestly.
P.S.: Ignore the review about their restrooms – two gender restrooms have existed since forever and are EVERYWHERE, but most of all, they have nothing to do with the awesome quality and service of Cheba Hut.
We came back here for dinner on 14 Jan! We ordered online for pick-up again; we were late to pick up (sorry, guys!), the counter person wasn’t as friendly as the others, and they gave us grape Kool-aid instead of Dr. Pepper… but our sandwiches and pretzel nugs were perfect as always! He got the same one as last time and I tried the Pakalolo aka my new favorite sub! Love this place so much. New pic added to this review!
Another online order pick-up on 3 Jan 2026, but for lunch! We arrived about 5 minutes before our pick-up time and it was already waiting on the shelf behind another friendly employee. Once again, we were so happy with our meals. We both tried a different sub from our first and didn’t get the same one this time, so we had different flavors but once again, very well-made and scrumptious subs. I also got another order of the pretzel nugs ’cause I’m HOOKED! Can’t wait to try a different delicious sub next time.

The food is PHENOMENAL. We got the same sandwich, the only difference being the length and customizations, as well as an order of Pretzel Nugs each; we both loved everything and were so happy with how well it was all made plus how they made them to our liking.
Since we were only picking up, we didn’t see much of the restaurant but from what we saw, it was clean and looked inviting. We might just have to dine in next time, ’cause we WILL be back!

We came here for lunch on November 24th.
Surprisingly, we got our food very quickly.
The sandwiches were pretty good and like other locations we’ve been too, they are a little overpriced. Parking is limited, so hopefully they will finish paving the rest of the open area.

Awesome crew really is great! The family was really happy this is new and a great unique different experience! Food is friggin amazing! Got to see it before it was open also and they were testing it out but it’s amazing 1000% and I can get a beer! Great view of the Sandias, Bosque, and perfect angle for balloon fiesta from the patio if open early for fiesta, football, sports, had Mario kart on for the kids, will be a regular me and the fam!

Delicious!! So nice to have a Cheba Hut in the area. It has been years since I’d had Cheba Hut up in Colorado, and wow was this a time warp for my taste buds. The sandwich was killer, well made and nicely portioned out. Will be going back to this location (which is an absolute vibe) again.
