Cheba Hut “Toasted” Subs

  4.7 – 298 reviews   • Sandwich shop

Social Profile:

Cheba Hut is a toasted sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998. Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries. We strive to be your go to late night food stop. What really sets Cheba Hut apart, though, can only be experienced in our shops. We combine homegrown food with real people in a relaxed environment. Escape the established.

Laid-back sandwich-shop chain for creative toasted subs, plus snacks & desserts.

The food hit the spot! After a long day at the arcade with the kids we wanted a lofi place to wind down and eat before heading home. *****Wyatt makes the best sandwiches*****. He makes them with the love of 1000 mother’s, the care of 100 gods and the skills of 10 samurai. He has perfected his craft and it shows. The whole staff was great! Perfect 5/7!

Bad ass atmosphere, felt like I was back in Cali. Ordered the AK47, which is a French dip. Delicious and well made. The girlfriend ordered the bomb with no mushrooms, which is a meatball sub. Also, it’s super delicious. The music wasn’t overly loud and it was good music. TV’s on the walls playing different shows. There is a bar as well for your adult beverages! 10/10 recommend giving this place a shot!

Food was great! The service was friendly and chill too. My favorite thing about it is the atmosphere. There is also a bar and nice patio. Great place to grab a treat after going to Sunland Park NM for gardening supplies.

Cheeba hut never disappoints. Food is always delicious. The environment is awesome. Tons of art work on the walls to look at while u eat & hang with friends. Subway used to be my active favorite sub spot, over Jimmy John’s & firehouse subs but cheeba hut has now taken first place. If u haven’t been plzzzz go.

I’m from Pennsylvania originally so subs/hoagies are a BIG deal to me. I’ve been here a handful of times and have been pleased every time. I love the fact these subs are toasted. They remind me specifically of a place in my hometown. It’s been tough finding a place that knows how to properly toast a sub so this place makes me happy.

I’ve always chosen the “make your own” option but at some point I’ll be brave and try an actual menu item.

That being said, tonight I was just slightly disappointed at the lack of toppings. I expected more LTO (specifically, more L&T) and just felt like the ratio was a little off. The taste/flavor has always been amazing, so I can overlook it tonight.

They are always friendly and efficient there as well. I order take out so I haven’t eaten there yet, but the place has a cool and casual vibe that makes you want to sit there for hours.

I’ll continue coming back for sure in the future.
