Cheba Hut is a toasted sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998. Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries. We strive to be your go to late night food stop. What really sets Cheba Hut apart, though, can only be experienced in our shops. We combine homegrown food with real people in a relaxed environment. Escape the established.

I’ve been here quite a few times since they opened & even gotten to go. 5 out of 5, every. single. time.
Easy process, order at the front, grab your table display identifier thing (lol, I am so great at describing items, they are not numbers but pictures with a great sense of humor), take a seat & they bring the order to you.
We sat the bar one time, great service, very attentive time. The ability to tend to all customers with great service as a solo bartender was amazing, especially with how busy it was. It’s not like it seats a billion people but she was great considering how full it was.
Whether you are at a booth or tables indoors or outdoors, the service is so good. Each individual is a people person & they are constantly walking around to see how things are, also talking the opportunity to clean. I forgot a fork one time, while I’m capable of getting it myself one of the guys noticed & just bought me one anyway.
The Kind – my go to sandwich with turkey, bacon, mushrooms, & Swiss. The sandwiches are hefty yet the maintain the crispness if the toasted bun without it being weighed down & fall apart.
The White Widow, Pakalolo, & the Griefo (vegetarian) I would also recommend.
Bowl O’ Balls – marinara is my go to, I don’t even like marinara. Also, on one occasion one of the staff members (maybe he was the manger, not sure) said we need to try the Greek ones. I told him I was debating but I love the marinara ones so much. He brought us some to try, with plenty of ball jokes to go along. Lol. Listen, this is Cheba Hut & IYKYK. This dude, manager or not, with his perosnality is a restaurant treasure at this location. Protect him at all cost.
Krispy Bars – one bar is enough for three people. Sticky, gooey, yummy.

I have found my favorite toasted sub place EVER!!! Starting off you walk in and the vibe is super friendly and chill and also clean. There were employees actively wiping tables and making sure all seats were available for customers. Ordering was super easy and they have GREAT combinations of different meats and veggies and sauces. I had the Sensi Kush and that Honey Sriracha was FIRE!!! I rarely eat a full sandwich and usually take home leftovers but I demolished the whole thing! So good! They also serve koolaid! My boyfriend had to try all 3 flavors lol! He loved them all! The manager Micheal came up and talked to us and he was so friendly and talked about how great the company was and made sure our experience was good. So refreshing to see employees legitimately loving what they do and taking the time to make sure their customers experience is on point! Both my boyfriend and I will definitely be back to try more subs soon!!! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!!!

We love eating at Cheba Hut. They have excellent food and awesome service. A manager was available when we stopped by on Black Friday. He was extremely warm and welcoming. It is an unspoken rule of customer service, but significantly improves the dining experience.

Place stands out among the flood of new restaurants joining Mansfield. It’s a whole vibe with delicious foods, great snack options and even dispenser kool-aid!? For whatever reason, that kool-aid tasted better than usual. Will definitely come back!

All I can say is Wowwwww! This place exceeded my expectations! We had the Apollo 13 (Greek Chicken) and the AK47 (French Dip) sandwiches and we’re hooked now. The happiest and friendliest staff are exactly what Mansfield needs. We will be back!

Service: From the moment we walked in, the staff at the front of house were welcoming, patient and even took the extra moment to make a recommendation that ended up being delicious. From there, the food came in quick and ready to rip!
Atmosphere: Colorful, comfortable and chill. We were in a bit early, so it wasn’t hoppin’ yet, but filling up fast. Love the art on the walls and layout of the place.
Food: The food was awesome and the recommendation when we walked in knocked it out of the park. Ingredients were delicious the ARTISTS they have running the kitchen crushed it with the masterpiece I had. My wife loved her food too, but mine was definitely better, LOL
Nice Touch: The manager (I assume) stopping by the tables and checking in with everybody was well done. Not too intrusive, but just enough to show they actually care about the folks that choose to eat there.

I think everyone knows this place rocks. Me and my family went to the location in Deep Ellum a while back after a day at the Arts Fair and it was a great experience from the food to the atmosphere. We were stoked y’all were opening close to home and every time we go in there the staff is so warm, friendly, and genuine. Every time we order delivery our stuff comes correct and tasty. The rewards are the most generous I’ve seen. This is genuinely a place I’d recommend and am always happy to hang at. Thanks for bringing the good food and good vibes!
