Cheba Hut is a toasted sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998. Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries. We strive to be your go to late night food stop. I know they just opened, so we tried to be patient and keep an open mind. We ended up waiting 42 minutes for two sandwiches, while other customers were receiving larger orders within 5 to 10 minutes. About 30 minutes into our wait, new customers were being told they were only 10 to 15 minutes backed up. We checked in and were told five more minutes, but it was another 15 before we got our food. It seemed like a few orders may have fallen through the cracks. They were clearly working hard and getting many orders out quickly, we just weren’t so lucky.
When we got home, both sandwiches were made incorrectly, which is on us for not checking before we left. We’ve had Cheba Hut before and it’s usually great, which is why this was disappointing. Both sandwiches barely had any meat. I ordered the Italian with the regular ham subbed for turkey (still wanted prosciutto) and received one piece of turkey, one piece of salami, no prosciutto, and no black olives. Definitely a bummer and not the norm based on our past experiences. Usually they’re loaded with a good amount of meat and all the listed ingredients.
If you’re running low on ingredients, just let customers know. We would have understood. We’ll be back because we know it’s typically a solid spot, but we’re hoping for the quality and consistency we’re used to instead of mostly bread and lettuce. But for now, we’re still hungry.

As the second person in line someone immediately came up to the other register to begin our order and was pleasant in doing so. Our interaction was pleasant and welcoming. The seating area is open, and very will lit. Decorations are colorful, tasteful and entertaining with out being overwhelming, little quirks like the photo of Ice Cube on the soda machine also added to the overall esthetics. Food was brought out to us quickly and accurately. the food was good, quality breads and meats. I expect to frequent for lunches and quick dinners.

I ordered on line which was very easy! The order was on time and ready to go when I arrived. Would only suggest clear directions for food pick up vs waiting in line with everyone ordering! Otherwise it was awesome! Sandwiches were all tasty and we will definitely be back!!

This place is amazing. The vibe is very chill. It’s great food great local craft beers. Definitely a place to check out. Dining in store was great not a super long wait for food. Online ordering is great less then a 5 minute wait for my food after the time I scheduled for pick up.

We ordered online the second day they were open. Delivery was fast and our order was 100 percent correct. The sandwiches were amazing and the soup was really good too. We loved it so much that we ordered it again the next night. Our order was 100 percent correct the second time and all of the food was great again. This time we tried the brownie and the rice crispy and they were both yummy. This has become our favorite sandwich place!

This place is the bomb. I love sub sandwiches and especially love hot or toasted subs. The vibe and the feel of this joint is spot on, the flavor combinations are excellent. Great bread that gets a little bit of a crust on the outside and stays super soft and moist on the inside when toasted. The French Onion Soup is delicious as well
