As someone who’s Mexican and grew up eating traditional home-cooked meals, I don’t say this lightly — this place truly felt like home. The chile relleno with steak was exactly how my grandmother used to make it: perfectly balanced, flavorful, and made with care. One bite took me right back to her kitchen.
The tortilla chips (totopos) were fresh and clearly homemade — light, crisp, and delicious! You can taste the authenticity in every detail.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere sealed the experience. The music, the warmth of the service, and the overall vibe made it feel like I was home. It wasn’t just a meal — it was a beautiful reminder of my roots.
I will absolutely be coming back. ❤️

Che Taqueria has been open for a couple of weeks and is under a soft opening. The menu is extensive, so I decided on trying a few items. They do have beer so I went for a Tecate, Bistec and Al Pastor tacos, and a Torta Loma. If you are looking for chips & salsa, it’s an appetizer with a cost. The tacos were very full of meat and while the Bistec didn’t have much flavor, but the meat was tender. The Al Pastor was absolutely delicious; spicy, smoky, and slightly sweet. Of all the meats tried here, the Al Pastor was hands-down the best. The red sauce was really nice with great flavor and a little kick; the green was just OK. The Torta bread is fresh and on point and the Loma filling I opted for made for a big sandwich. Food was good and the service solid.

Great tacos and service! Might be the best place to get tacos in Murfreesboro. Everything we got was amazing. They paid attention to the details too. Thinly diced onions and radishes. The frosted mug!!!

This is a great addition to Murfreesboro. I’ve been a few times for lunch and loved the food. The restaurant is squeaky clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere is very traditional Mexican, we love it.
A quick Update:
I was in a hurry and stopped in for breakfast.
I had Huevos con Chorizo. ( eggs and chorizo sausage); The Best breakfast ever. It came with rice and beans, and of course tortillas. I couldn’t finish it all!!!!

Easily the best tacos in the Boro! I loved the chicken and fish tacos on corn tortillas—so flavorful and fresh. The tortilla chips were fantastic, and the strawberry margarita was delicious. You can absolutely feel Raphael’s pride in sharing authentic food from his region of Mexico.
