place was great! super yummy food but they have an open kitchen and the chef gets a little “crabby” and likes to yell at the customers when he gets upset. they have a dog that the customers love. very proper puppy. 10/10 experience

Walking into Chaz’s Kitchen feels like discovering a safe haven for anyone who’s ever had to interrogate a server about cross-contamination. This place doesn’t offer gluten-free options — it celebrates them.

From the moment you open the menu, it’s clear this kitchen was designed with intention. Everything is gluten-free by default, which instantly removes the stress and guesswork that usually comes with dining out. Instead of compromises, you get confidence — and more importantly, flavor.

️ The Food

The menu is a greatest-hits album of comfort food done right. Crispy fried chicken with a shatteringly light crust? Nailed. Fresh pasta with rich, slow-simmered sauces? You’d never guess it’s gluten-free. Even the bread — often the Achilles’ heel of GF dining — is warm, soft, and satisfying, not dense or crumbly.

Dessert is where Chaz’s Kitchen really flexes. Cakes, cookies, and pastries come out looking and tasting like they belong in a high-end bakery, not a “special diet” category. No chalky textures. No weird aftertastes. Just indulgence.

The Vibe

The space strikes a perfect balance between cozy and modern. Think warm lighting, clean lines, and a relaxed neighborhood feel that invites you to stay longer than planned. It’s casual enough for a weeknight dinner but polished enough to bring friends who aren’t gluten-free — and still impress them.

Service

The staff is knowledgeable without being preachy. They understand dietary needs deeply but never make it feel clinical. Instead, they’re excited to guide you through favorites, seasonal specials, and desserts you absolutely shouldn’t skip.

From the moment you walk in, this restaurant delivers an exceptional experience. The owner and chef go above and beyond, often welcoming guests with complimentary pours of Bella Glos Pinot Noir in a stunning wine room that feels both elegant and inviting. The attention to detail—right down to the beautiful monogrammed napkins—sets the tone for a truly special evening.

The hostess is absolutely lovely—petite, gracious, and genuinely warm—making you feel instantly at home. Service is seamless without ever feeling rushed.

And the food? Simply perfection. Every dish is cooked flawlessly, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly crafted with care and passion. This is the kind of place that turns a meal into an experience and keeps you coming back again and again.

A true gem and an easy five stars.

BLIMEY. Chaz’s delivers genuinely impressive gluten free flavor and proper finesse worthy of a Ramsay smackaroo. I appreciated the screaming, added to the authenticity and tense flavor. It opened my senses for the wine vintages that had a beautiful must of Bakersfield California.

While in the kitchen, I witnessed something unexpected. A couple of dogs were calmly assisting with prep, moving with focus and discipline. Sitting inside Chaz’s hat was a small rat, clearly guiding the operation with quiet authority.

Strange setup. Serious food. Worth the visit. I did find it strange the wife left the door open wife she took a leak, cest la vie!

I’m 96 and like to eat without my dentures in. I truly appreciate Chaz’s kitchen commitment to a romantic experience for me and my girlfriend (s), as well as his discretion between my girlfriends.

The food was American and exquisite. I don’t believe in this gluten free commie bullshoot but I’m happy he does it well.

9/5 stars. Sea view was nice bonus!

Baby walk into Chaz’s Kitchen,
warm air, clinking plates,
gluten free rolling out steady,
like a groove that never rushes its pace.

There’s a dog by the prep table,
head low, heart in the work,
another one watching the oven,
every move clean, every timing sure.

Chaz, I want you to take your hearing aids out for this one,
listen close to the sound of the room,
the sizzle, the chatter, the rhythm,
this kitchen is already in tune.

You tip your hat and there’s a little rat up top,
keeping time with a quiet grin,
no spotlight, no shouting orders,
just guiding the song we’re in.

It’s strange and it’s right and it works somehow,
food honest, flavors strong,
Chaz’s Kitchen plays it loose and true,
and I could sit here singing all night long.

Interesting members only restaurant where it appears that nearly all the guests are on scholarship and as a result appear to be entitled and ungrateful. Their service is great at the start, but it appears that the staff drinks so I suggest dining early as they seem forgetful as the night progresses. The food is amazing and the kitchen clearly wants to make sure everyone has a great meal. They stick with simple ingredients but do it right. Ask for the private wine list, it’s filled with amazing 2018 vintages.

The food was awesome, but the owner seemed very on edge… however, the short blonde waitress was very sweet. Great Christmas decorations too!
